Superhero action figures first stormed the doors of department stores and toy stores nearly 35 years ago. Constructed of various kinds of plastic and clothed in uniforms, costumes and capes G.I. Joe, Superman, Spiderman, the Lone Ranger and others marched, flew and rode off store shelves and into our lives. After short stops under the Christmas tree or at birthday parties, these action figures found their way into toy boxes and playrooms around the world.
These action figures did their superhero work of incredible feats, saving scores of lives and neutralizing villains. They accomplished these heroic deeds on lazy summer afternoons and rainy Saturday mornings in front of the TV set. Too often, they also needed our help after school when we were supposed to be doing homework.
These superheroes were always our friends and they helped us through our childhoods. They taught us to share, to value friendships and that good will triumph over evil. Perhaps, most importantly, they stretched our imaginations and made us believe that anything was possible. These mighty action figures were invincible to everything but time. Time finally did them in. Or did it?
For more and more people, these action figures are returning to superhero status. The Star Trek crew along with Power Rangers, the Star Wars characters and transformers are popping up in offices, dens and family rooms everywhere. These action figures have become collectibles.
The most popular of these action figures include G.I. Joe, Captain Action, the Six Million Dollar Man, the Lone Ranger and the Mego line of action figures. These include characters from Super Heroes, Planet of the Apes, Star Trek, Happy Days, CHIPs, Monsters and others. There were literally hundreds of different action figures produced during the decades of the ‘70s and ‘80s.
The action figures come in different sizes. Just as with other collectibles, size, condition, original popularity and whether or not the figure is readily available now all come together to determine price. Prices are all over the board. Some of these figures have been known to sell for thousands of dollars. Others go for a few hundred. Most are in the $10 to $100 range.
Action Figures Make Great Collectibles
How do you know what to pay? There are a number of sources for current price information for these action figures. One important source is toy magazines such as “Toyfare” and “Lee’s Action Figure News”. There are also dozens of websites that have pricing information. More good sources are the online auction sites, such as eBay.
The auction websites are also great places to buy these action figures. Numbers of these toys are sold on these sites every day. You can determine the condition, see what other people are bidding and then make a bid. The top online auctions are safe places to do business.
These action figures crop up in other places as well, just waiting for the opportunity to march into your collection. You can find them in flea markets and sometimes in antique shops. You can buy them from other collectors, at garage sales and estate auctions. There are dozens of toy shows around the country where dealers and individuals buy and sell collections.
You will find these action figure toys in every conceivable condition from mint in the box condition to pieces of the original toy. There is a rating system to help collectors determine condition that runs from condition C-1 through C-10. The very best condition is mint in box or mint on card. These toys are in the original box or bubble wrap card. They are in exactly the same condition today as the day they were first packaged. They are, of course, the most valuable.
One of the first steps in collecting action figures is to decide which toys to collect. A good place to start is with your favorites when you were a kid. Collections will be more valuable if you have complete sets. For example, you might build a collection of a complete set of the Marvel Comics heroes. Part of the fun is putting these collections together – acquiring hard-to-find figures in a set.
The next step is taking care of your collection of action figures. If you are lucky enough to find a toy sealed in the original box or package, leave it in the box. Do not open it. Display your toys on a shelf or in a cabinet where they will be kept dry, out of direct sunlight. You will also need to keep these toys above the reach of your own youngsters. They will be just as tempted to play with them as you were.
Finally, enjoy your collection. Owning these action figure superheroes will bring back many of the wonderful feelings of those carefree days before mortgage payments and college tuition bills. The dollar value of your collection is likely secondary to assembling the collection and enjoying its aesthetic value. Even so, your collection will almost certainly become more valuable in time, especially if you can assemble entire sets.
These action figure superheroes are reminders of your childhood and will serve to tell your children and grandchildren a little about whom you are and how you learned that good triumphs over evil. Somehow it is comforting to know that Superman, G.I. Joe and the Lone Ranger are still fighting crime and saving lives.

These 17 safety tips are on target to protect yourself and your property away at school…while still having college fun.
Not to mention, just think how at ease your parents will feel when you tell them about your safety plan.
1. Find out the best route between your residence hall, classes and activities. Take the safest route, not the fastest.
2. Don’t become distracted when walking alone. Keep the cell, i-pod, or other devices in your bag until you reach your destination. Contrary to popular believe, talking on the cell does not prevent an attacker from picking you. You become a prime target because you’re being distracted and your guard is down.
3. Travel in groups of two or more at night and always walk in well-lit, heavily traveled areas. Walk facing traffic so you’re never pulled-up upon unexpectedly.
4. Stay on sidewalks and away from shrubs, dark alleys, and doorways.
5. Make sure to share your class and activity schedule with friends and family.
6. When you go out, let someone know where you are going and when you plan to come back.
7. Know where the emergency telephones are located. Program your cell phone’s speed dial with emergency numbers that include family and friends and keep it with you.
8. Use shuttle buses after dark. If buses have stopped running, call the Escort Service or a taxi for a ride. Your life is worth the cab fare.
9. Wherever you are, stay alert to your surroundings and the actions of people around you…even at a party. Do not wander off alone with anyone. Keep around groups of friends. Remember, alcohol and/or drugs are involved in 90 percent of campus crimes.
10. Don’t flash large amounts of cash or other items like jewelry or expensive clothing. This makes you a prime target for those willing to mug or rob you at a later time.
11. Room doors should be equipped with peep holes and deadbolts. Always lock them when you are absent. Do not loan out your key. Have locks changed immediately when a key is lost or stolen. It’s bothersome, but very worth the time.
12. Always lock your doors on the 1st AND 2nd floor windows at night. Never leave a door unlocked for your roommate. Value yourself. Your life and safety are more important than their convenience.
13. Do not open your door to anyone unless you’re positive who is on the other side.
14. Do not enter elevators with someone who looks suspicious. If you get a bad feeling about them, TRUST IT. Don’t get on or get off at the next floor and take the next elevator. Report the person to security or the police right away.
15. Make it a rule. Do not use stairways alone.
16. Mark your property; personal computers, laptops, audio and video equipment with property tags and locks. Most are available online.
17. Visit your college or university’s security office. Ask questions. Laws require colleges and universities to automatically provide current students and staff with basic campus crime statistics and security policies. Prospective students and staff are to be notified of the availability of this information and to be given it upon request.
Statistics for certain off-campus areas have to be disclosed and schools with a security department must maintain a daily crime log.
Also, colleges and universities must provide the collection and disclosure of information about convicted, registered sex offenders either enrolled in or employed at the institution of higher education.

Weddings can be both the most exciting and stressful times of a person’s life. Sure it is certainly fun to design wedding invitations, plan your reception and pick colors for your ceremony and bridesmaid’s dresses. On the flip side, the woes of budgeting for a wedding, hiring a minister, hiring a caterer, and securing entertainment can be just as stressful as the fun parts can be enjoyable.
For those who are trying to produce a wedding, a wedding reception, and a honeymoon on a limited budget, there may be one option that you have not yet explored. Getting married on board a cruise ship is a classy yet relatively inexpensive option for your wedding. Most cruise lines carry their very own wedding planner who can put together an entire wedding, minister (or the cruise ship version of one) reception, catering, and all. Wedding planners, even for small weddings, can cost upwards of a few thousand dollars but you can secure a low cost, thoughtful and memorable wedding on board a luxury cruise liner for less than a thousand dollars if you are lucky. This is on top of the costs of traveling on the ship for the duration of the cruise as well. Of course this is not the most extravagant wedding, and obviously you get what you pay for so the more money you put into your luxury cruise liner wedding, the fancier it will turn out to be.
Realistically, you would not expect all 50 to 100 of your wedding guests to shell out thousands of dollars just to sail around the world with you and your loved one to celebrate your wedding with you, and of course the cruise lines do not expect that either. Many lines will allow your guests to come on board for your wedding and reception for a couple of hours. The liner company may choose for themselves or give you the option of having your wedding on a docked ship and never have the cruise liner leave the area, or to sail around the port for the duration of the wedding. Most times the ship will never even leave the port during the wedding, as this can cause problems with marriage licenses when it comes to what may or may not be United States or international waters.
There are plenty of cruise lines that will give you a quality, fun wedding that will be truly memorable for you and your loved one. Carnival Cruises, Princess Cruises, and the Disney Cruise line offer fun, romantic wedding packages at prices that really are hard to beat, especially when compared to the combined price of a wedding, reception, and honeymoon done the more traditional way. Princess Cruises even offer wedding packages that pamper the bride and groom prior to the wedding, and add little touches like stringed instruments, flowers, and candles to create a ceremony that you, your loved one, and your guests will always look back on fondly.

In this article I will explain why proper money management planning should be the most important part of your investment preparation. If you have never implemented money management in your investing/trading, read the 5 basic principles described in this article and learn how to use a proper money management in your financial activity.
What is money management?
Money management is 80 percent of the investment plan and the most important aspect in online investment, trading the stock market or investing in hyip - high yield investment programs (the remaining percentage are used for implementing a system/method).
Why is money management so important?
I can’t emphasize enough the importance of using money management in any financial endeavor. When it comes to the bottom line, money management is the only mathematically proven way for leveraging your money and achieving your goals in the quickest way.
For a proper money management you will need to include these 5 principles:
1. Proper money management controls the amount of money you will invest each time, based solely on the account equity curve (your profits/losses over time). You must not use money management to generate buy and sell signals.
2. Proper money management takes into account both risk and reward factors. Know your risk potential at any time; don’t “close one eye”. It’s easy to think only about what would be your profits.
3. Proper money management takes into consideration the value of the entire account. Your capital is the most important thing (you can’t invest with $0). Don’t let few minor losses destroy your entire capital and force you to make hundreds percentage in profit just to retrieve your principal.
4. Proper money management discounts all factors that cannot be mathematically proven or formulate. Your thoughts and emotions can’t be implemented in proper money management plan/formula.
5. Proper money management formula should give you one outcome for an each set of variables, without any guesswork.
Proper money management wouldn’t work if you don’t already have positive expectations from the system/method you apply in your investment. No matter what, even if you have the best money management plan, there isn’t any money management formula that will mathematically turn a losing situation into a winning one.
You must understand that leveraging your money with money management can turn a relatively mediocre investments/trading situation into a dynamic moneymaker. If you have already started investing without money management formula, it is time to reorganize and re-plan your strategy from here on.
Proper money management can be used on any leveraged situation; it doesn’t matter whether you invest in the stock market, hyip or any other market that generate profits from investment. So, if you haven’t started your online investment activity, you may be tempted to “make it by yourself” or use “trading system” solely; Please don’t, money management isn’t an after the fact tool.
How you apply these principles to your online investments? It depends on several factors, such as, do you consider yourself conservative or aggressive, what are your financial goals as an investor, and the most important, your tolerance for risk.
Finally, money management is the most important tool used by the professional investors and millionaires. With this tool, combined with good system/method, you can control your risk and your profit potential.
Proper money management is the key that separate the successful investors from the crowd.

A common thinking among “Marketing people ” is that for every product that enters the market there must be a path, a target, a need ( real or created) that decides how the product must enter the consumer’s life, which part of the population is more likely to go for it, which niche it is going to fill and, most important “…certain things being stated, something other than what is stated follows of necessity from their being so.” and that is the final issue: the price.
Depending on those anavoidable patterns a product is more or less ready for a certain market.
High technologically devices, the ones that offer perfect quality and cost a fortune will target the elitarian market, where the price has not big importance (on the contrary, if the price would be lower than what certain people can afford, the product wouldn’t reach them) since it means luxury.
When a product ceases to be luxury and begins to be a need, then the mass market is ready. The product can enter 60% of consumers’ lives, reach easily a good upgrade in the percentage and become ” The New Product of the year 200….”.
Let’s consider the VoIP market.
Prior to recent theoretical work on social needs, the usual purpose of a product invoked individual (social) behaviors. We now know that these assumptions are not completely wrong.
Wrong would be NON considering them.
In systems where many people are free to choose between many options, a small subset of the whole offer will get a disproportionate amount of traffic (or attention, or income), even if no one of the system actively work towards such an outcome. This has nothing to do with moral weakness, selling out, or any other psychological explanation. The very act of choosing, spread widely enough and freely enough, creates a power law distribution.
Now, thanks to a series of breakthroughs in network theory by researchers we know that power law distributions tend to arise in social systems where many people express their preferences among many options. We also know that as the number of options rise, the curve becomes more extreme. This is a counter-intuitive finding - most of us would expect a rising number of choices to flatten the curve, but in fact, increasing the size of the system increases the gap between the #1 spot and the median spot.
In other words: give to the people the choice among desktop phones and mobile phones and the majority will choose what they think more convenient, in spite of the cost of the service.
In a way the cost of the service is the only left advantage in favour of the fixed telephony.
If the price was the same the desktop phones would disappear from the life of the average consumer (mass market consumer).
To see how freedom of choice could create such unequal distributions, consider a hypothetical population of a thousand people, each picking their favorite way of telecommunication. One way to model such a system is simply to assume that each person has an equal chance of liking each kind of telephony. This distribution would be basically flat - most kind of telephony will have the same number of people listing it as a favorite. A few will be more popular than average and a few less, of course, but that will be statistical noise. The bulk of the telephony will be of average popularity, and the highs and lows will not be too far different from this average. In this model, neither the quality of the voice, the availability, the design of the device nor other people’s choices have any effect; there are no shared tastes, no preferred genres, no effects from marketing or recommendations from friends.
This is the mass market of VoIP as dreamed and forecasted by most hardware producers.
People would choose VoIP in spite of the fact that the systems are not intercommunicating, the available phones are just desktop phones, most of the population doesn’t have a “Flat rate DSL” and some do not even have a decent connection, (just one ” UP to…) and just because VoIP means cutting cost.
They have a few wrong assumptions:
- Most of the people want to save calling internationally
- Most of the people will use a cheap Flat rate connection
- Most of the people know how to handle a computer or a network, and so solve all the eventual problems that could arise.
But they do not consider that:
- Most people call locally and just a few once in a while internationally.
- Most of the people do not have a cheap flat rate Internet
- Most of the people are not IT experts.
Besides people’s choices do affect one another. If we assume that any kind of telephony chosen by one user is more likely, by even a fractional amount, to be chosen by another user, the system changes dramatically.
If Robert (our average mass market consumer) likes to have a phone in his pocket, available mostly anywhere, it is very likely that Mary would like the same.
Is VoIp ready for the “Mass Market”?
The answer could be No and Yes.
What would VoIP offer more than the existing several choices?
- Price. Telephone calls would be completely free of charge among two IP phones ( and that believe me is a GREEEEAT THING when you try it)
- The never enough considered satisfaction to be able to ref..ck who f..cked us for many years…
What would VoIP telephony need to be #1 spot in the curve?
- A reliable PORTABLE Phone that doesn’t need millions of Hot Spot’s to work.
- A reliable, cheap flat rate internet connection anywhere for everybody.
If ONE could put these patterns together, THEN VoIP would really have the chance to be #1.

Five years ago I had never heard of the term ‘life coach’, let alone think that I would one day be one. However, life coaching is spreading very quickly in the UK. Type ‘life coach’ into any internet search engine and you will find an almost bewildering amount of directories and websites all offering coaching services.
So, what is it?
Imagine your life as a journey. Sometimes along the way there are places you want to get to, but the path seems complicated and there are many distractions and false turnings. You lose your map. You perhaps have tried to get to this place before, but you never made it – something got in the way or it was too difficult.
Perhaps you are stuck in one place, resigned to being where you don’t really want to be, but the thought of trying again to get out of it is far too scary. Perhaps you have even forgotten that there was ever another place you wanted to reach, but you have a continual, sneaking feeling that there is something else out there beyond the boundary that could be so much better.
In life these metaphors stand for being in a dead-end or boring job, but feeling unable to move forwards to something else. Or it could be that a relationship has become stale. Or perhaps you just feel that you are not living the life that expresses you, or are unsure who that person is anyway.
Going back to our travel metaphor, you can think of the life coach as a kind of travel guide. This person knows there is a world beyond the boundary and can help you discover it for yourself. He or she knows the nature of the obstacles that are in your way but knows that it is possible to overcome them, and how. This travel guide can help the traveller to draw up a map, with landmarks and destinations along the way that will be part of the journey and assure the traveller that they are on the right track. The guide will stay with the traveller, keeping their focus on the way ahead and reminding them of their final destination when they get distracted or disheartened. The guide will encourage them when they get discouraged and urge them on when they lose heart.
In other words, the life coach helps you get from where you are now to where you want to be – and often will help you to find out where it is you want to be! The life coach does not tell you what to do, but uses techniques to draw answers from you so that you can make the choices that are right for you. This makes it completely different to counselling (which works on the past) or advice (which is usually someone telling you what you ‘should’ do).
I like to call it ‘getting in touch with your passion’. We are all passionate about something (though some of us may have forgotten what it is, or not found it yet) – and I believe that when people are doing or living the thing they are passionate about, they are truly living in their full self-expression of who they are and why they are here.
Ros is a career and confidence life coach in Northamptonshire. She is very passionate about helping people ‘find themselves’ and to live lives that are fulfilling and joyful. This includes finding the right career… after all, we spend a lot of time at our jobs, so we might as well be happy doing them! She works from the belief that anything is possible and that we all create our own lives, based on what we believe about ourselves. These beliefs can be changed to create something more positive.

3 years ago I embarked upon a journey to find out what was all the Hoopla about online poker. I was in between jobs and had a lot of time on my hands anyway and figured what the heck. An internet business briefly flashed across my radar screen but flickered and died when I realized that this would require way to much Time and Thinking.
I googled up a few rooms and soon was online playing for real cash in my first freeroll.
I finished 120th out of a field of 1000 and was hooked. I didn’t finish in the $$ but I was close enough to smell glory and the rush that comes with knowing I was better (or luckier) than most of the other players.
I was a former online Unreal Tournament nut before, but never winning any money at it trivialized it now.I then went on a freeroll rampage that has spanned 3 years and put mucho denero in my Neteller acct.
The Freeroller is an odd character of sorts. He’s keenly aware of the odds involved with freeroll play versus buy-in tournament play. He knows from experience (hopefully) that play style changes when a player shifts from “freeroll-mode” to “my friggin $$ is on the line”-mode. Loose players will make huge pre-flop bets with an “I don’t care” attitude. The savvy freeroller will be patient and let these “all-in storms” pass, maintaining a disciplined and measured strategy throughout the tournament. Remembering that the Goal is to finish in the money, its fairly obvious that you must lay down some hands that you don’t want to. In fact, folding 80-85% of the time is recommended. A good pre-flop strategy is a must no matter what type of table your at.
Internet Freerollers are the backbone of the online poker industry. They keep the juices flowing and bring fresh meat to the tables. They invariably deposit eventually becouse most rooms require an initial deposit as a means of positive identification. They create rake and spur activity where there would otherwise be none.
Anyone can jump in and play Poker online. There are sites such as
http://www.freewebs.com/pokerbankroll that offer links to poker-rooms that give new players starter bankrolls with no strings attached.No-deposit,just sign up and play. Its usually $10 but thats a great starting roll.Take it to the .10-.20 limit tables and when you double it move up to the .25-.50 limit. When you get more relaxed and confident you may try some low stakes no-limit.
Have Fun,Good Luck, and go get the money!!

Have you heard about the diabetes breakthrough that lowers blood sugar levels by 30% in 30 days? The all natural Diabetic Pack was developed with Nobel Prize Winning Science. This FoodMatrix biotechnology has a 4 year proven track record of helping take diabetics off insulin and oral medications.
Today, most people with diabetes are only treating the symptoms and not getting to the root of the problem. Furthermore, most medications given to diabetics are compounding problems instead of getting to the source. The best way to manage diabetes is to get to the root causes.
FoodMatrix nutrient biotechnology has been proven in over 80 clinical studies. Even the U.S. California District Court has ruled that FoodMatrix claims are valid.
The reason FoodMatrix works so well, especially for type 2 diabetics, is because it operates at the cellular level and addresses a key problem that every type 2 diabetic has. Your cells simply do not process blood sugar like they should and these nutrients help your body metabolize blood sugar more efficiently.
If you are either type 1 diabetic, type 2 diabetic, or pre-diabetic who is mildly or heavily dependent on insulin or prescription medications, then the FoodMatrix Diabetic Pack is the nutrional support you need.

We are all told stories of people earning a substantial income
from having their own business. They speak to kids at schools to
motivate them to enter into the world of entrepreneurialism. It
looks so glamorous and tantalizing. We often wonder how they
achieved this dream of self employment? We admire their courage, and some of us
try to learn how they achieved this wonderful life.
Unfortunately, when some of us try to achieve independent
employment, one may become overwhelmed with the duties it
entails.Renting an office, convincing others to loan money to
pay for the costs of computers, phone or phones, advertisements
in the local newspaper, can turn the dream into a nightmare. In
addition to these responsibilities and worries, one might have
to work seven days each week. Often sixteen hours a day; risking
the happiness of his or her family. How can these worries and
emotional strain be minimized? It is not easy starting your own
business, but it doesn’t have to be so difficult and
horrific. Let us examine ways for one who is motivated to start
his or her own business
Succeed with a better chance for the happy life others
have achieved.
When you are contemplating the idea of starting your own
business, think about what you want to manufacture, sell or
promote. Make sure you are motivated to achieve this goal. The
worse thing to do is open the wrong business, or not enjoy this
life changing career. In addition to searching your soul to make
sure you are choosing the right employment opportunity as an
entrepreneur. Write down ideas to help find your perfect
business idea. Whether you are selling cosmetics, or
manufacturing clothing, you need to design a business plan.
Writing a business plan is the second crucial step to the big
dream! If you don’t have a business plan on paper, you
won’t be taken seriously when you present to the business
community for their money and support. Financial support and
respect from members in and out of the business community can
also make your business idea fail or flourish.
Gaining and maintaining respect within the business and
working-class community can make a big difference when
approaching banks for business grants or loans. When approaching
banks or other government-funded financial institutions, present
your business plan in a clear, concise and professional manner.
Write questions they might ask you, and prepare answers for them
before your meeting. Describe to them your short and long term
goals, and why you think this business is important to the
consumer sector. In addition, make sure you ask them questions
concerning interest rates, length of time to pay back the loans,
and other financial assistance they can provide to improve the
success of your new business venture. Remember to take notes
while you are meeting with any financial official.
You are now making progress. If you haven’t received
enough capital to fund your business venture, you are still
showing that you are motivated and committed to succeed as an
entrepreneur. If you were able to get some funding for your
business, you must now present your idea to building owners in
the business community. Whether you want to build a corporate
conglomerate, or a small business to earn an average income, you
should present your idea to buildings that have signs
advertising free office or any other room space.
Present your business plan, write questions to ask beforehand,
and negotiate with the building owners. For example, if an owner
offers you the entire first floor of his or her building, but
the rent is expensive, offer to mention him or his business in
your advertisements or future marketing exploits. If you present
your business idea professionally, negotiate and exhibit
confidence in your business, it is most likely that you will get
a building to set up the rest of your business.
Setting up your own business
is not easy. It takes courage, confidence, creativity and
motivation. If you are sociable, motivated and willing to
sacrifice time and energy, you will achieve the dream of
self-employment. Always remember that it is not starting the
business that is gratifying, but the end result is very
satisfying.

The time to start being concerned about your credit score isn’t when you are about to apply for credit. At that point, there is nothing you can do to change your current score. Your concern and efforts to ensure that you have an excellent credit score should be an ongoing process.
If you haven’t been doing what is necessary to ensure a high score, now is the time to start. Here are some tips on how to get an excellent credit score.
· Get a copy of your credit report and make sure that it is accurate. Inaccurate information can harm your score. Get rid of any information that is wrong. This one step can improve your credit score dramatically.
· Get credit only when you need it. Don’t take out lines of credit just because you can or “just in case.”
· When you do you use credit, always make your payments on time. This may be the most important factor of all.
· Keep the balances on your available credit low. It is preferable to only be using about 25% of your available credit. Part of your score is based on the ratio of your debt to your credit limit. By keeping your balances low, you turn this into a favorable ratio. For this reason, do not close out old, unused credit accounts. Accounts with a zero balance will help improve the ratio.
· Part of your credit score is based on how often your credit report is accessed. Keep the number of times it is accessed to a minimum.
· Have a variety of types of debt. A mixture of fixed payment installment loans (mortgage, automobile, student loan) and revolving lines of credit (home equity, credit card) is favorable. It shows lenders that you can handle both fixed payments and variable payments at the same time.
· Educate yourself on what a credit score is and how it is determined; this may help you take steps to make sure that your score is favorable.
· Work diligently and patiently to improve your score. It may take time, but it will happen.
JP Burkhart recommends that you visit excellent credit score for more information.
