Looking for a traditional Spanish recipe? Without doubt, the best-known is going to be the prodigious paella … that tasty, adaptable, gregarious dish famed throughout Spain and the World.
And, what an impressive choice of recipes exist for a pleasurable paella: seafood, chicken, rabbit … or a mixture of all three! Perhaps you are non-meat eating … well, just opt for one of the several vegetarian paella recipes. Bit of a health fanatic? Then substitute white rice for whole-grain rice or wild rice.
Got a large family and not much money to feed them on? Use plenty of rice and imagination along with a tasty stock, plus whatever you can find in the cupboard! I have certainly enjoyed many paellas where there have been more bones/shells than meat/ seafood! And, very tasty they have been too, the richness of the company more than compensating for any paucity in the ingrediants.
So … how do you go about making the perfect paella? First of all, you need to choose your rice. The short-grained rice from Valencia - where most Spanish rice originates - is fine for making paellas. However, the “bomba” rice grown in the neighboring region of Murcia, is the “king” of paella rice: again, short-grained, it has the ability to absorb the stock whilst remaining firm.
Another “must” is to use saffron (”azafrán”) to create the gentle, yellow color for which this delectable dish is renowned. Yes, it is possible to buy cheaper, artificial colorings but … go for the traditional - it will bestow a wonderful aroma and unique flavor.
Many Spaniards swear a perfect paella can only be achieved when using a tasty, home-made stock. Whatever you decide, allow at least double the amount of liquid to rice. If, during cooking, the dish becomes a little dry, just add a dash more water or stock.
Another tip I have been told, on more than one occasion, is to gently fry the rice for a few minutes before adding the stock, ensuring that it is well-coated in oil. I think all Spaniards would agree that, once cooked, it is best to leave your paella to stand for a good five minutes before serving.
Perhaps the most important ingrediant for making that perfect paella, is to use lashings and lashings of love whilst preparing it - for surely, that is something we can all afford - and to enjoy to the full the marvellous company of those who will share it with you.
I shall now have to choose a paella recipe to offer you as an example! I think I will opt for a seafood paella, typical of the region of Valencia, where I live. The ingrediants are for a hearty four servings. If you are not a hefty eater, or on a diet, then reduce the amount of rice/stock slightly.

The Top 10 Reasons for Being Honest
1. Honesty means being authentic. Honesty is a reflection of
yourself and your true feelings. If you want people to know who
you really are, just be honest.
2. Honesty shows courage. It takes an immense amount of courage
to say what you feel. It is difficult and takes practice and
patience.
3. Honesty shows you care. When you’re honest, with yourself and
others, it shows how much you really care. When people
experience a caring attitude - it makes them stop and think.
4. Honesty creates a circle of love. Honesty sets an example
that can create more honesty. This energy translates into love
and can create an on-going circle of loving relationships.
5. Honesty shows maturity. Many times there can be hurt and pain
associated with honesty. A mature person can prepare for that
and work through it with the other person.
6. Honesty fosters a connection. Honesty can bring people
closer. It forms a bond, or connection because the two people
may be working with some very painful issues.
7. Honesty feels exhilarating. It feels great to be authentic

to you and it’s practiced regularly, you will soon attract the
same type of people into your life.
10. Honesty can keep you out of trouble!! We all know how you
can dig yourself in deeper with lies and deceit. So don’t even
go there!! Start with a clean slate by staying honest.

Goal setting is the true secret to success in any area of life. But although setting a goal may seem simple, achieving it is usually another question altogether.
Why is that?
Because you will never achieve your goals unless you: (1) know exactly what you want, (2) are passionate about your goal, and (3) have a solid, realistic plan of action. This is what marks the difference between nebulous dreams and wishes - and truly achievable goals!
Many obstacles and challenges will fly right in your face when you’re going after a goal. Here are 5 time-tested methods that will help get the success you deserve.
1. Know exactly what your goal is
Your first job is to discover exactly what your goal is. What will achieving that goal really look like? Be as specific as possible about exactly what your desired end result is. Your success will be a measure of your clarity - since an achievable goal plan cannot be created around a nebulous “dream.”
If your goal is to create a more successful business, what will that look like? Are you thinking in terms of simply hiring someone else to give you more free time? Are you looking for a very specific monthly profit? Or can your goal be best expressed in terms of a certain lifestyle?
Regardless of what you want, the best way to get it is to first clarify exactly what you want in as much detail as possible. This can be hard work. But without a clear mental picture, you’ll never have the focus required to achieve your goal.
2. Be willing to pay the “entry fee”
Success takes dedicated planning and effort. In a way it’s like building a house. In the beginning all you have is a rough concept. Then you develop a complete set of plans - and you immediately move closer to success. The same is true of creating a better lifestyle, or a more successful business.
But there’s always an *entry fee* to be paid for success.
The entry fee?
Creating more success in your business may mean less recreational time. Writing your own book may require less TV. Being closer to your children may require adjusting your work or social activities.
It’s the “full glass” deal. If your life (your time) is already full to the top, there’s no room for something new. The entry fee is carving out the time to create that something new.
3. Focus on your goal every day
I’m sure you probably want to achieve your goal as fast as possible. That’s why clear mental focus is so very important.
Consistent daily focus is absolutely necessary to “burn in” the new neural pathways you need to create your new goal. Without daily focus, the old mental habits that have kept you from your goal will continue to take over.
This happens automatically - since these old habits replay 24/7 deep in your subconscious mind. The only way to override subconscious anti-success messages is to consciously focus on what you DO want - and build new neural networks!
That’s why success is an every-day event.
Re-commit to your goal every day. Don’t let your goal take a back seat to the daily tasks and distractions that will try to take over. Life WILL try to get in your way. Just get, and stay, on course every day. Focus on your goal, and on success!
4. Get passionate
One of the most powerful tools in your “success tool box” is having real passion for your goal.
Why passion?
Because intense passionate desire for your goal will help you burn in those new neural pathways even faster. Many, many scientific studies have shown that intense emotion (passion) is a key success tool.
PLUS (and this is really a *big* plus), intense passion will also help you rapidly override any inappropriate old “failure messages” stored in your subconscious mind.
5. Take consistent action
In many ways, actually taking action can be the most difficult step. Successful goal achievement is built by taking one small action after another.
The word is ACTION!
If you commit to take at least one small action each day, your actions WILL add up and make a difference. So avoid sitting back waiting for that big second when everything will magically “just happen.”
You CAN create whatever you want in life. The secret is to determine exactly what you want, then pursue it passionately. But remember — in the end, only action counts! You can’t just dream about it! You have to DO IT!
A weekend with Dr Jill’s popular goals workbook will set you up for an exceptional 2005. Procrastination IS an action - and just brings more of the same! Take action NOW => Go Get it!

Social networking sites can be a lot of fun. College students like to use Facebook.com to connect and build relationships. Teenagers and young college students think Myspace.com is the place to be. Networking sites can also put you in contact with people who share similar interests or who are just plain interesting.
But, as with all great things, there is a darker, more sinister side. Predators lurk, hidden on these sites, ready to lure in unwitting teenagers. Content is posted that is inappropriate. Danger is around every corner…
However, some sites ARE trying to clean up social networking, while keeping it fun.
Facebook requires a school ID to peruse the profiles. You can’t even get on the site without this ID. Supersafe!
Mooble.com offers free memberships to their social networking website for adults AND teens. But, the fast growing site has the added benefit of protecting minors from material aimed only at adults.
They’ve taken a novel approach to adult content. Access to the adults-only material costs a small fee.
…a small price to pay to know that you don’t have to worry about whether or not the person you just met is really the age claimed. Besides, the annual access fee is quite small, considering it pays for a live person to view ALL submitted content for inappropriate content.
The effort that Mooble has put into making sure that kids are safe from inappropriate content, and that you are safe from an unpleasant surprise, is remarkable. In order to pay the fee for access to the adult content, the credit card used must be in the member’s name.
This is great because most kids under 18 do not have their own credit cards. Plus, there are many teens that would hesitate to take their parent’s credit card and then set up a profile in that parent’s name.
And, really, most of the time kids just happen upon adult content without meaning to do so. With a site like this, kids are protected, and you can still browse what you want to browse.
Another great thing about this whole Mooble idea is that it keeps kids safe from sexual predators. Social networking sites like myspace.com require that you be at least 16 to sign up. All the kids have to do is list their ages as 16 or older, even if they are not. There are literally thousands of teens and pre-teens that do not meet the My Space age requirements.
But they are on there, regardless, fudging their ages and are vulnerable to perverts who are out there looking for them. In fact, most pedophiles know, all they have to do to search for someone listing their age as 100, and nine times out of ten, it’s a youth.
Mooble does not have the same sort of problems because it actively tries to make it difficult for kids to have access to material suitable only for adults.
Keeping kids safe should be a high priority, and sites like Mooble and Facebook, that choose to draw the line between approved and unapproved use of adult content, provide an array of choices that can benefit both adults and kids.

Executive coaching is used by 25% to 45% of the Fortune 500 companies according to a survey by The Hay Group. Training and Development journal reports that the executive coaching delivers a very high ROI. Fortune magazine suggested that executive coaching delivers an average return of $100,000.
Ten years ago, executive coaching was not the buzzword it is today. Yet, when we understand the true purpose of executive coaching, it is much easier to recognize the source of this highly effective performance improvement strategy.
Over 2,000 years, a philosopher by the name of Socrates, was probably the first executive coach. Socrates believed in creating a dialogue with his students. Dialogue means to build a relationship and that is exactly what executive coaches do – build relationships. Through critical reasoning, Socrates was able to help his students, friends and even strangers come to a better understanding first of themselves and then of themselves in the context of their performance within the world.
Socrates held to 3 key principles through his Socratic dialogue:
- Truth
- Kindness
- Necessary
As he dialogued with others, Socrates focused on discovering the truth by being a kind individual who wanted to make sure that the discussion was necessary.
In today’s world of executive coaching, the executive coach helps the client to discover the truth that in most cases resides within the individual. The coach in many instances just coaxes it out. Sometimes this is a painful process for the individual because facing fear and self-limiting beliefs is not easy.
Through this process improvement strategy, the coach always remembers to be kind, yet firm. She or he believes that negativity serves no purpose and is counter productive to discovering the truth.
Finally, the executive coach holds true to the purpose that united the coach with the client. The executive coaching process was determined to be necessary so that the client could achieve her or his goals and overcome those repetitive obstacles.
Executive coaches who truly understand the Socratic dialogue are indeed practicing a centuries old proven process. Hopefully, they will not be asked to drink hemlock as they help their clients understand what is holding them back from achieving their goals.

It is a well known fact that when it comes to sleeping habits, some people seem oblivious to the house falling down around them, while others are roused by the slightest noise that seems out of place.
In a little known lifetime study conducted with questionable scientific reliability, I have come to the conclusion that many people who suffer from sleeping disorders owe their afflictions in no small part to allowing pets to share the bed chamber. The findings conclude that pet influences can be divided equally between cat and dog owners that allow their pets access to sleeping with their human caretakers, with slight variations in animal behaviors. The following pet activities, realized or not by their owners, are significant contributors to poor rest.
Contributing Factors from Cats:
1. Pouncing in the dark on genitals.
2. Growling at other cats prowling outside the bedroom window.
3. Licking and grooming themselves next to a sleeper’s head.
4. Pillow stomping back and forth during shifts in human positioning.
5. Foot attacks ten minutes before the alarm clock goes off.
6. Leaps onto the bed from raised positions like a nearby chest of drawers.
7. Standing on the solar plexus with weight shifted to one paw.
8. Late night breath sniffing to see if the person is awake.
9. Chasing lights from passing automobiles, reflected through closed blinds.
10. Snoring and loud purring.
11. Batting at metal blinds.
12. Cat box digging.
13. Hocking up hairballs.
Contributing Factors from Dogs:
1. Hopping across genitals in the dark.
2. Chouncing and licking their own genitals next to a sleeper’s head.
3. Growling and barking at strange noises.
4. Crowding and lip smacking.
5. Dreaming and flinching.
6. Nuzzling feet and hands.
7. Circling and flopping down across sleeper’s feet and legs.
8. Snoring.
9. Door scratching and wining.
10. Scratching themselves behind the ears.
11. Drooling.
12. Blanket digging.
Most people who can sleep through a tornado insist they cannot rest without the presence of a pet, while light sleepers tend to compromise by doing most of their sleeping at work. For sleep study workers who are baffled by light sleepers who seem able to fall asleep quickly and deeply in the laboratory, I say you just forgot to throw in the cat.

The power to generate traffic is simply links. The most powerful technology governing the Internet is hyperlink.
This is the technology that makes it possible for you to browse, download, order, and do all you do online. And this is the technology that drives traffic. When you point links to other sites, you give them traffic, when other sites point to your site, they give you traffic.
A site without links pointing to it cannot get traffic. So the most important traffic strategy is having loads of links pointing to you—the more the merrier. Now, to get pointed at often requires you to point to others. Big sites like EBay, Yahoo, Goggle, and MSN get great traffic because they are great pointers. There are about 100 million eBay users and Yahoo has more than 300 million users making billions of dollars. These big sites are related to loads of other sites through a link of interlocking financial arrangements.
You have to cut other sites into your site. It is a favor for favor thing. Links will always be the most important part of any website promotion campaign. If you want traffic, look for sites to link to and have them link back to you. Let’s say you have a site that sells paintings you did on African-American history, then you should develop your site into a shelf where you not only list your paintings but also list other paintings related to African American history and also list essays, books, personal letters, forums, blogs, journals, poems, movies, and even schools related to African American history. Then in return, have them link back to you.
Let say, you have a home business where you stock coffeemakers and sell online, you could link to other sites selling toasters, mixers, freezers, dryers, washing machine, iron, and other sites that relates to coffee. Then in return, have them link back to you. Make sure you don’t link to competitors, link to cooperatives, this gives you targeted traffic. Mind you, not all your links are for work; some have to be for play. All work no play makes a failure.
Frankly, you can’t really get a lot of traffic with only 1 site. You should build 10 to 50 more and link them all together. And have a resource link exchange page so other relevant sites can link up with you. Do joint ventures. You can make contact with other people who can give you referrals or refer you to their associates and friends.
Truly, the strength of your sites is determined by the strength of your links. But ask this: who will link to you? It is not as easy or as simple as it sound. If you don’t have traffic, who will want to link to you in the first place? You will write to load of sites and they won’t even reply you. Like a man said, “I hate linking. It is such a hassle. Many of the link requests that I do get are from poker or porno sites that are totally irrelevant to my site’s content. Most of the sites that I would like to link to don’t respond. Some sites supposedly do respond, but when I search their sites, I can’t find my link anywhere. It is just so totally and completely frustrating.”
The choice is yours. You either work at it or quit. Download “Evil ways of making money–what the rich won’t tell you” free at http://oxcheck.com and learn how to introduce immoral and unethical survival tactics into your business.
