How To Milk Your Content For All Its Worth With RSS

Filed under: The Networkers Way — admin @ 7:05 pm

RSS, Newsletter, Blog, Website…with so many places you can publish your web content to, how do you choose; especially when articles and time to publish them is limited. Besides, why should you publish your content in so many different formats? If you’ve been doing business online for any amount of time you know that building a list is integral to success. Regular website content brings search engine robots back. So do blogs. Blogs also help build your expert status and RSS is the new way for people to subscribe to your content without giving out their email address – among other things.

Ok, so you know it’s all good and they will help build your business, but how can you do several or all without piling more work on your already full to do list? It’s really quite simple. Make your content work harder and milk it for all it’s worth.

Instead of publishing your newsletter entirely by email, publish it to a content management system or blog that will automatically create an RSS feed each time you update it. Your next step is to put that RSS feed into your mailing list manager* create a signup box as you would a regular newsletter and put it on your website or blog in a prominent area together with the RSS feed. It, probably won’t take more than a few minutes if you already have everything at hand.

From now on, people can choose to subscribe to your newsletter by RSS or email and every time you publish the newsletter to your website or blog, RSS subscribers will see that you have new content and people who opt-in for email will receive an email notice. To top it all off, the content is also archived online permanently and all you did was type and publish one time.

You know the amazing part is, that’s not all. You can syndicate your newsletter for more exposure. Contact a few webmasters and ask them if they’d like free, automatically updating content on their websites. Create the codes for them so it’s super easy for them to add you. When they do, the next time you publish your newsletter, their website gets updated immediately. If anyone wants to read more of your content, they would be brought to your site.

RSS is truly an exciting technology. Not only does it open many doors for you to share your content, it can also help you work smarter by cutting down your work as you read above. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t have an RSS feed today and if you already have one, it’s time you should milk your RSS feed for all it’s worth.

*Note: Not all mailing list managers can take your RSS feed and convert it into email updates.

Government Grants to start or expand your business

Filed under: Politics News — admin @ 6:59 pm

Anyone thinking about going into business for themselves ,
or wanting to expand an existing business should rush for the
world’s largest “one-stop-money-shop” where FREE MONEY to start
or expand a business is being held for you by the Federal
Government. It sounds absolutely incredible that people living
right here in the United States of America wouldn’t know that
each year the world’s largest source of free business help
delivers: over $30 billion dollars in free grants and
low-interest loans; over one-half trillion dollars in
procurement contracts; and over $32 billion dollars in FREE
consulting and research grants.

With an economy that remains unpredictable, and a need for even
greater economic development on all fronts, the federal
government is more willing than it ever has been before to give
you the money you need to own your own business and become your
own boss! In spite of the perception that people should not look
to the government for help, the great government give-away
programs have remained so incredibly huge that if each of the
approximately 8 million businesses applied for an equal share,
they would each receive over $70,000.

Most people never apply for a FREE GRANT because they somehow
feel it isn’t for them, feel there’s too much red-tape, or
simply don’t know who to contact. The fact is, however, that
people from all walks of life do receive FREE GRANT MONEY and
other benefits from the government, and you should also.

HOW TO FIND FUNDING SOURCES WORTH BILLIONS

As with all grant seeking, the key to obtaining grants is
preparation and knowledge about funding sources. Preparation
means identifying programs that are available, and then
determining if you fall within their restrictions. The following
sources will be invaluable to you in locating thousands of
sources of FREE MONEY!

There simply is too many facilities and Government organizations
around to even begin listing all that are available from the
federal and state governments. It is clear however, that the
general types of programs that are available and where to begin
are easy enough to find if you are keen enough.

As you contact different agencies for grant money, learn not to
accept “no” as a final answer. There are so many new programs
being offered each year that often an agency’s own employees
won’t be aware they are offering the one you ask about.

A state may raise money through industrial revenue bonds to buy
your fixed-asset equipment. The public, which invests in these
bonds, do not pay taxes on the earned interest.

It just means finding out where the agencies are within your own
states and local governments. The contacts you want to make may
only be minutes away.

One of the most valuable things in life is the ability to learn a skill. One of my dad’s favorite sayings was “You can give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, or you can teach a man to fish and he will never go hungry.” This can be applied to searching on eBay.

The main things I search for when I am mining Internet gold is by Product Title or Listing as it is called; but you need to remember that we always want to view Completed Auctions. It doesn’t matter if a computer is listed at $1, and there are 2 days left…that information doesn’t help us. We need cold, hard facts of what that computer sold for, how much it sold for and who bought it; and this is available to you on Completed Auctions. Many times when I search by a product and see that it is a hot seller, I will then check for the top sellers of that product. Then I check the sellers other auctions.

View all the items and incorporate your own ideas to make your sales successful. Don’t reinvent the wheel. Your goal is to Make Fast Cash! Clone what works, and integrate them with your own ideas. Use the following guidelines as an aid in your search:

1. When do the “hot sellers list?

2. What starting prices do they use?

3. What is the wording in their ads?

4. What is the duration of their auctions ( 3, 5 or 7 day auctions)

Eliminate trial and error. Concentrate on successful power sellers. With all of this information at your fingertips you need to realize that you don’t need to be an expert in any product you want to sell. Focus on hot, selling products and the techniques the top eBay sellers use to sell them.

How the Atkins Diet Works?

Filed under: Medical Resources — admin @ 6:26 pm

Dr. Atkins created the Atkins diet in the year 1972. His main
aim was to create a healthy diet so that people live long by
following a healthy lifestyle. His formula was:

Low carb = low insulin = ketosis phase = burning fat = losing
weight.

If a person reduces the carbohydrate intake to 30-40 grams a
day, the body will enter a phase, which is called as ketosis. In
this phase the body burns fat and it will affect the production
of insulin in the liver. Once you enter the ketosis phase your
body will start using fat, as fuel and the desire for
carbohydrate products will drop. The logic behind the Akins diet
is that when you lower your carb intake the body starts using
the excess fat and you begin to lose weight.

The first stage limits/restricts the carbohydrate intake to 20
grams a day. The second stage you increase the carbohydrates and
fiber rich foods to 20-25 grams every day. During the second
week you increase it to 30 grams and keep the diet continuous
until your weight loss stops. After this you start deducting 5
grams of carb every day to stay at that level. The third stage
you can increase the carb intake by 5-10 grams per week. In the
fourth stage you can add on some good carbohydrate to your
existing diet.

Atkins diet has been a success worldwide and many people follow
this diet to reduce their weight. It is estimated that nearly 20
million people have followed this dieting technique. Much
research has been done on Atkins diet and it has proved to be a
safe and healthy diet for people who are obese. There has also
been a reduction in “bad cholesterol” levels in people.

The Great Ocean Road - Australia’s Costa Verde

Filed under: Great Recreation Tips — admin @ 8:30 am

Visitors to the Australian state of Victoria and its capital Melbourne should definitely consider reserving two or three days to explore Victoria’s own Costa Verde, the Great Ocean Road. This magnificent coastal tour combines spectacular Southern Ocean scenery, huge cliffs, towering rock stacks, lush temperate rainforests, tranquil bays, intriguing coastal villages full of history, clean uncrowded beaches and great surf.

The Great Ocean Road winds its way along the breath-taking coastline of south-west Victoria, from Geelong in the east to Nelson in the west, with the area between Lorne and Apollo Bay being the most picturesque. It is without doubt one of the world’s most scenic coastal drives. It traverses an extended length of coastline that includes the world-famous Twelve Apostles rock formation, the Otways rainforest, and Bells Beach on the Surf Coast. The Great Ocean Road also regularly passes through coastal resort towns including Torquay, Lorne and Apollo Bay, coastal cities including Geelong and Warrnambool, and historic villages including Queenscliff, Port Campbell, Port Fairy and Portland.

There is ample opportunity to expand and extend the Great Ocean Road experience by detouring inland to the magnificent Grampians National Park and the Goldfields, continuing across Victoria’s western border to South Australia, or exploring Port Phillip Bay in the east including the Bellarine and Mornington peninsulas.

Portland (population 11,000) was founded by the pioneering Henty brothers in 1834. Today, it boasts more than 200 well-maintained heritage buildings and private residences. Visit the Maritime Discovery Centre for an insight into Portland’s long seafaring history. Portland’s waterfront is still alive with commercial activity today, and whales sometimes visit in the winter months. Portland is also an angler’s paradise, the range of fish in the area including King George whiting, flathead, snapper, tuna and mulloway.

Apollo Bay (population 2,000) is regarded by many as a paradise by the sea. The town is characterised by a wide, crescent-shaped sandy swimming beach, a backdrop of undulating green Otway hills, relaxed lifestyle, waterfalls, national and state parks and abundant flora and fauna in the nearby ranges. The beach at Apollo Bay is a focus for activity all year round. Swim in the clear sea waters, kayak with local seals, go deep-sea fishing, surfing, or simply take a relaxed horse ride along the beach at sunset.

Anglesea (population 2,500) is a favourite Great Ocean Road holiday destination due to the great beaches, bushland, wildlife and stunning coastal scenery in the area. Located on a wide sandy expanse beside the Anglesea River, Anglesea’s main beach is perfect for swimming, surfing and relaxing. Anglesea is also a great place to explore on foot. The 35 kilometre Surf Coast Walk passes through the town and can be followed along the coast in either direction. Coogoorah Park fronts the river and has a series of walking tracks, boardwalks and bridges winding through native bush and reedy wetlands teeming with birdlife.

Aireys Inlet, just a few kilometres from Anglesea, is a peaceful village nestled in the shadow of Angahook-Lorne State Park. Clifftop tracks provide views of rocky reefs, rock pools and sheltered coves. Aireys Inlet has superb beaches suitable for swimming and board riding, with a national park at its backdoor which is home to native trees and heathlands that are alive with colour when wildflowers bloom in winter, spring and early summer.

Port Campbell (population 200) is located amongst some of the most spectacular coastline scenery found in Victoria, including the Port Campbell National Park and the Twelve Apostles. Sheltered by towering cliffs and Norfolk pines, Port Campbell has the feeling of a haven on the edge of wild nature. It is a great base for a day tour to the Twelve Apostles, the dramatic rock stacks that have made this section of Victoria’s coastline famous. Other spectacular coastal features include Loch Ard Gorge, Gibson Steps and the Bay of Islands.

Torquay (population 3,670) is a major holiday resort town, and also Victoria’s surfing capital where beach-based culture is strong. Many of the best known names in surfwear and accessories are based in Torquay, with anything and everything connected with surfing available in retail outlets at Surf City Plaza. The Surfworld Museum captures the spirit of surfing in a variety of multimedia and hands-on displays. Famous surf beaches in the area include Jan Juc and Bells Beach, famous as the venue for the Rip Curl Pro (held in Easter), one of the most sought after titles on the World Championship Tour.

Lorne (population 1,170) has a distinct Mediterranean atmosphere and outstanding picture-postcard scenery. This beautiful coastal town has been attracting visitors for more than a century. Located between Loutit Bay and the cool Otway ranges, Lorne’s charm is difficult to beat. Mild weather, a thriving café culture, and a full range of shops, boutiques and galleries make Lorne one of the Great Ocean Road’s most popular holiday destinations.

The City of Warrnambool (population 29,500) is situated in one of the most picturesque locations in Victoria, nestled into the coast amid green countryside and overlooking the deep blue of the Southern Ocean. Warrnambool has a long and colourful history linked with the sea, much of which is on show at the Flagstaff Hill Maritime Museum. The museum provides a fascinating insight into the early life of the city, and includes original buildings, a lighthouse and a recreated port complete with ships. The many shipwreck relics on display include the famous porcelain peacock salvaged up from the tragic wreck of the Loch Ard in 1878. Giant southern right whales return to Logan’s Beach near Warrnambool every May to October and can frequently be seen just 100 metres off the shore.

Port Fairy (population 2,600) is a charming old fishing village with wide streets lined by 19th century cottages, old stone churches, boarding houses, inns and imposing Norfolk pines. Many fine examples of 19th century architecture can be found, with more than 50 buildings classified by the National Trust.

Imagery Practice Can Change Your Life

Filed under: Management Portal — admin @ 6:28 am

John was a police officer. He was on duty one evening when a car stopped outside the police station. An elderly man came out of the car and came over to him to request him for help. He wanted John to go over to the car and convince his son, who was a passenger, to take psychiatric help. A simple family matter, John thought, as he approached the car. As soon as he approached the car, the son opened the door of the car and came out. As John approached him, out of nowhere came a knife in his hand. The man lunged at John. Only for his police training, John could have died. He escaped with small injuries. The man was overpowered and taken to the psychiatric hospital under police escort. For John, life had changed. He started to have flashbacks of the incident. Two years later, he was still suffering with the images of the incident. Doctors said he had post-traumatic stress.

This is a negative example of imagery. But our mind appreciates the language of images and no other language. When we remember anything good or bad, the sounds, the smells, the colours, the feelings are remembered. As long as the image and the emotions remain in our memory, the incident remains alive in our mind and our body. If there are many incidents from our past that are negative in feeling, we tend to live in the present carrying their ‘emotional weight’ and their images. This is the major cause of most psychiatric conditions.

On the other hand, you can also use imagery to your advantage. If you want to achieve anything in life- and this means anything- you have to do very little work.

Just make an image in your mind having achieved what you want to achieve. It is important to consider that what you want to achieve has already been achieved. Then add on the feelings, the sounds, the colours, the smells to this image. How would you feel if you achieve what you want to achieve. Simply imagine whatever you want to achieve, every day. If you can visualise this achievement many times a day, it is all the more better. Trust and have faith in the visualisation. Be patient with this exercise. Sometimes one has to do this exercise for upto two years. Sooner or later, whatever you want to achieve will become reality.

Do this exercise, focussing on only one goal at a time.

This is one simple exercise that can change your life. The secret behind its success is that for Nature at large, what you imagine or visualise is reality for you. Nature tends to reinforce our imagination by creating reality out of our images. In order to trust the process, you need to experiment with it. You can change your life and take it into any direction you want.

Is Your Child Safe in School?

Filed under: Children Fun — admin @ 5:00 am

Every year before school starts, the news media reports the startling facts about school supply sales—“School supply sales are down [or up] from last year.” I am perplexed. What benefit does that fact make in anyone’s life? What is the purpose of reporting this? How will that information help me or anyone else? As I mused about this inane topic, I realized the most important information for children returning to school is not reported. The most important information parents and children need when going to school is how to protect children from sexual abuse perpetrators. Every year throughout the world several hundred children are sexually abused (sexually assaulted) by teachers, bus drivers, janitors, or other adults associated with your child’s school experience. To adequately prepare your child for school you need to prepare your child to protect him/herself from cunning sexual abuse perpetrators.

How can children protect themselves? First and foremost we need to accept the fact that sexual abuse perpetrators (a.k.a. sex offender) may seem very average and ordinary to the world. In spite of all the reports of sexual abuse by pillars of the community-teachers, clergy, coaches, we still want to cling to the belief that a sexual abuse perpetrator is the disheveled man with a scraggly beard and wearing a dirty trench coat. We find it very difficult to believe the people we like, admire, trust and work with would do such a heinous thing.

The frightening truth about sexual abuse perpetrators is that within their belief system they do not hold beliefs reflecting society’s moral and ethical values. Sexual abuse perpetrators frequently pass lie detector tests because their moral and ethical values do not reflect the standards on which the test is based. They feel no inner conflict with what they have done, therefore in their belief system they believe they are telling the truth when they state, “Never ever. I could never harm a child or anyone. It’s not in my heart. That is not who I am.” Perpetrators go to great lengths to present themselves as exemplary people; the teacher, who frequently stays after school to help a child having academic difficulties or the gym teacher/coach, who takes special interest in a budding athlete.

I am not suggesting that everyone who does these things is a sexual abuse perpetrator. Insidiously, perpetrators demonstrate the right, moral, and exemplary behavior to develop credibility and establish proof of their love of children, thus thwarting any suspicion of wrong doing; and to have access to lure the innocent, trusting child. Perpetrators frequently take jobs which afford easy access to children—child care workers, teachers, coaches, etc.
Second, we need to know the definition of sexual abuse.

“Traditionally, incest [sexual abuse] was defined as: sexual intercourse between two persons too closely related to marry legally–sex between siblings, first cousins, the seduction by fathers of their daughters. This dysfunctional blood relationship, however, does not describe what children are experiencing. We need to look beyond the blood bond and include the emotional bond between the victim and his or her perpetrator.

The new definition relies less on the blood bond between the victim and the perpetrator and more on the experience of the child. Incest is both sexual abuse and an abuse of power. It is violence that does not require force. Another is using the victim, treating them in a way that they do not want or in a way that is not appropriate by a person with whom a different relationship is required. It is abuse because it does not take into consideration the needs or wishes of the child; rather, it meets the needs of the other person at the child’s expense. If the experience has sexual meaning for another person, in lieu of a nurturing purpose for the benefit of the child, it is abuse. If it is unwanted or inappropriate for her age or the relationship, it is abuse. Incest [sexual abuse] can occur through words, sounds, or even exposure of the child to sights or acts that are sexual but do not involve her. If she is forced to see what she does not want to see, for instance, by an exhibitionist, it is abuse. If a child is forced into an experience that is sexual in content or overtone that is abuse. As long as the child is induced into sexual activity with someone who is in a position of greater power, whether that power is derived through the perpetrator’s age, size, status, or relationship, the act is abusive. A child who cannot refuse, or who believes she or he cannot refuse, is a child who has been violated.” -E. Sue Blume, Secret Survivors

Third, a child needs to have specific information, tools and techniques to know what to do. Self-protection offers a direct and effective way for children to help themselves. Who, other than the child, is in a better position to protect him/herself? Perpetrators say they can sense a child to victimize. They can tell by the child’s demeanor; body language; and facial expression. They sense the fear; the helplessness; the passivity. They chose a child who is easily intimidated or controlled so hopefully the child won’t tell. Secrecy, needless-to-say, is paramount for the perpetrator. Whenever a person is traumatized, he or she resorts to familiar behavior; for girls this behavior is usually passivity, while boys usually ‘tough it out—thinking if they are strong and unemotional, no harm can occur. Sexual crimes against children can only be committed if the perpetrator finds someone who will hopefully keep the secret. No child needs to fall prey to these cunning predators.

There is no foolproof method of preventing perpetrators from abusing a child. They are cunning predators, who have perfected their predatory skills to get what they want. Therefore, you need to heed and investigate any warning signals.

Warning signals might be:

• an aversion to a teacher.

• sudden outbursts of anger and there is no apparent reason known for such anger.

• any unusual or unexplained behavior change.

• not wanting to go to school on a particular day of the week—the day gym or music class is held for instance.

• not wanting to ride the bus or be around a particular person.

• the gym teacher says your child is athletically ‘gifted’ and he/she wants to develop your child’s athletic abilities if your child practiced one-on-one after school. This in and of itself is not proof the gym teacher is a sex offender. See What to do below.

• a teacher gives your child a gift. A gift is sometimes an overture to win your trust and groom your child for seduction. See What to do below.

What to do:

• Practice and Foster Good/Appropriate Touch.

• Practice and Foster Appropriate Body Boundaries

• Practice and Foster Self-Esteem and Good Body Image

• Practice and Foster “Tell Mommy and Daddy Everything-No Secrets.

• Allow your child to command respect regarding dislikes and touch with family members, friends or authority figures.

• Talk with and listen to your child until you are satisfied the aversion is unrelated to improper behavior by the teacher/trusted adult

• Make a habit of coming to school unannounced to become ‘known’ as an attentive parent. If you are unable to fulfill this parental task ask someone to be your stand-in.

• Be present at games and practice. If you can’t attend, ask someone to stand-in. Tell the coach who is ’standing-in.’

• If a teacher gives more than a token gift to your child, return the gift to the teacher–explain that you have a policy of not accepting gifts unless the gift is connected to a birthday, holiday or activity,in which case all students would receive a gift on their birthday, the holiday or activity.

• Trust and honor your child’s intuitive reactions. If your child feels uncomfortable with someone, respect their intuitive sense. Avoid forcing your child to ignore their intuitiveness.

• Teach your child to avoid going into a teacher’s office alone-many children unwittingly go into a teacher’s office at the teacher’s request to help carry books or equipment—with the door closed and alone with the teacher—the child is abused.

What causes Acne and how to control them.

Filed under: Beauty — admin @ 4:35 am

Acne begins in puberty, but it does not always end there. Every teenager, if examined closely enough will show some of the effects of acne with some being mild, others more severe. The major hormone causing changes in teenagers is androgen. Under its influence, the sebaceous glands produce more and more sebum (oil). This leads, then, to oily skin and a change in skin flora. There is an increase in the bacteria that cause acne as well as a type of fungus. All these contribute to the development of blockages at the oil gland openings known as comedones. Such blockages cause blackheads and whiteheads – and acne when there is infection of the skin’s pores.

Acne should not be viewed as something that comes with puberty. It has lasting effects on the skin, like scarring, and should be treated. A gentle skin cleansing without using cleansers that over-dry skin should be established. Addition to that a supplement such as Acuzine should be taken to have a fast and effective acne cure inside out.

In adults, acne could be a carryover from adolescence, occupational (exposure to chemicals or other skin irritants in the workplace), drug induced (some medications exacerbate acne) or cosmetic acne. There are also other factors that may contribute to acne besides family history such as frequent use of thick make-up, frequent activities under hot and humid conditions and contact with oily substances.

There is nothing much that we can do about genetics but surely we can do something about lifestyle factors to prevent acne. Using thick, oily creams also may lead to breakouts too. People with acne should use products that are formulated for people with oily skin.

Stress is another common aggravating factor for acne. Lack of sleep is a form of stress in itself too. And for women, the menstrual cycle can trigger off acne too. But whatever your stage in life with acne, if the acne cream or lotion show no sign of clearing up, then get Acuzine. Acuzine is rate no.1 acne treatment product with guaranteed results. It works for adults or teenagers suffering from facial or body acne. This is a natural acne treatment formula with no side effect and highly recommended by dermatologists. Fast and effective acne cure from inside out.

Treating acne at the start of the problem is easier than dealing with the scars.

What Exactly are Screensavers? - part I

Filed under: Technology Tips + More — admin @ 4:15 am

After reading this good article you will know some important information about screensavers and their history. You will find out how screensavers are different from other applications and what advantages you’ll have if you use them. If you have a laptop or a notebook you can also find useful things.

I wonder if you have ever asked about what screensavers are in fact. Because i did i made a little research and i am willing to share with you what i learned. If you split the word “screensavers” in to separate words it will result the words “screen” and “savers”. So screensavers are some kind of applications that “saves your computer”. So a screensaver can only mean something good for your computer. But the real question is what does exactly means? You must ask yourself if it will harm your screen or it will help it. You can find all this just by knowing the definition of the screensavers.

If you are curious and you search the net you will find a many definitions. But i will try to list the best of them in this article.

1. So a screensaver is some kind of a moving picture that appears on your screen if you haven’t moved your mouse or didn’t press any key for a period of time that you can set. Screensavers prevent screen damage that is caused when the same areas of light and dark are displayed for long periods of time.

2. A screensaver is a program that activates after a certain amount of time has passed with no keyboard or mouse activity and blanks the screen or display moving various objects across the screen; these are used to prevent your screen from getting “burn in”. So i think that you are begriming to understand.

3. You can also call it an animated picture that you can program trough the display control panel. It will appear on the screen of your computer after a time that you can program has elapsed. The most important task of the screen saver is to reduce wear and the CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) that can receive damage if the same window is left for a long period of time.

So in conclusion after understanding the definitions of the screensavers you should understand the benefits and try to use one on your computer. You can find some tips about using screensavers in the second part of this article.
