J.B. Holmes shocked the golfing world with a runaway win at the
FBR Open last week. He came in ranked 464th in the world but his
second top ten of the season will certainly draw some attention
his way. On the 18th last Sunday, he bombed a 354-yard drive to
the delight of the spectators and if anyone saw him after that
shot, they saw a young man shaking like a first time winner
should be.

It’s on to California this week and the AT&T Pebble Beach
National Pro-Am where Phil Mickelson will try to defend a title
for a second straight week. Big hitters have fared well in this
event in recent years and this year should be no exception once
again. Weather is always a big factor, namely wind, but the
outlook is good this coming week for the three courses taking
part - Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill and Poppy Hills.

Mickelson started last year with an opening round 62 at Spyglass
and never looked back. He took a seven stroke lead into Sunday
and even a one-over 73 on the final day gave him a four-stroke
win. Lefty has won this event twice and has four top three
finishes in the past eight years so he is the favorite for the
second straight week for good reason. There is another lefty
that has also fared well here but has yet to break through.

Mike Weir should be in the mix once again this year. He has
finished eighth or better in five of his last six appearances,
including second last year, fourth in 2004 and third in 2003.
Seventeen of his last 24 rounds have been under par. Over the
past 10 years, Weir has the highest percentage of top tens to
starts at 62.5 percent (5-8) bettering Vijay Singh (5-9) and
Aaron Oberholser (2-4) as the only players above 50 percent.

One name that jumps out is Mark O’Meara who has won at Pebble a
record five times. The problem is that O’Meara is not exactly
lighting things up as he hasn’t won here since 1997 and hasn’t
won on tour since the 1998 British Open. Since that win in ‘97,
O’Meara has finished no better than 15th, has finished 51st or
worse six times and has only four rounds in the 60’s. He had a
16th place finish at the Buick two weeks ago so who knows.

Singh is never out of contention it seems and even though his
20th place finish at the FBR was his first out of the top ten
this season, he is another player who fares well at Pebble. He
has the best scoring average over the last 10 years at 70.03 and
he has finished first or second in three of his last six starts
here. He did miss the cut last year following his win 2004 by
three shots over Jeff Maggert.

Even though the scoring averages are rather high, the winning
scores have not. Mickelson won with a -19 last year, one off the
tournament record set by O’Meara and the last 10 winners have
all finished -10 or better. This has been the year of the rookie
so far this season with unknowns such as Holmes, Bubba Watson
and Nathan Green making noise. Watson, along with three other
rookies, is in the top ten in driving and cannot be discounted.

The Product is Time Sensitive

Affiliate marketing can be a great way to get the word out fast. Solid affiliates can relay a new product opportunity to the list quickly and the rate at which sales can be logged is far faster than via a traditional website model. If one has a product that needs to hit the market big and fast due to its temporality, affiliate marketing is a great solution.

There are Many Potential Buyers

If one has produced a product with potential widespread appeal, it may be worth paying commissions to affiliate marketers to get the word out to as many people as possible. Affiliates will often be able to reach population segments who may otherwise never hear about a particular product. If one has a lot of people to reach, affiliate marketing is a great way to do it. The high volume allows one to readily stomach the commission costs.

There are, of course, other reasons to embrace an affiliate marketing model, but these three instances are particular examples of circumstances where that approach makes perfect sense. Some will argue that affiliate marketing is almost always a winning strategy for a product owner/producer, and they may be right. However, the attractiveness of affiliate marketing is clearly evidenced in some certain situations. Using a commission-based cadre of salespeople is often an ideal way to maximize profit potential.

Most of the problems we encounter later in our lives stem from
things that began when we were very young. Mistakes and
misconceptions that were fertilized and encouraged to grow, can
often cause us great harm as we age. Often, if seems like a

children about the tooth fairy or Easter Bunny may seem fun and

real “life lesson.” While Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny tend
to go away quickly, there are some things that will take much
longer. Allowing children to learn and accept the Evolutionary
Theory from a very small age is a well documented mistake. The
“fend for yourself” mentality of the teaching can shape and mold
young minds far more than we realize. While liberal scientists
like to promote the theory as basically proven fact, and force
our attention away from the obvious flaws and holes, we are
often fooled into believing that this teaching will go no
farther than the classroom.

History has proven that to be utterly false. Many might not
realize that Adolph Hitler studied and fully accepted Darwin’s
theory of evolution as a young painter. This adamant belief in
“survival of the fittest” is what he cited as his entire
justification of a perfect race. Hitler believed he was merely
fulfilling the ultimate will of evolution, doing his part to
assure the perfectly evolved race would come about more quickly.

It never ceases to amaze me at the “Christian” parents and
teachers that seem totally willing to allow this poison to enter
young minds. With some vague argument like “separation of church
and state” or a line like “let them make up their own minds,”
the heart and soul of our children are simply turned over to the
wiles of the Devil.

Remember, the Serpent is more subtle than any beast of the
field. In the garden, in the beginning of it all, his very first
attempt to destroy our relationship with God was to deceive Eve
into doubting God’s word. “Now the serpent was more subtle than
any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said
unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every
tree of the garden?” (Genesis 3:1) Eve was quick to jump at the
seed of doubt offered to her, in order to obtain what her eyes
had seen and desired. We are no different today.

In order to appear modern and “up to date,” we jump at
scientific jargoon that encourages us to doubt the very Word of
God. We try and become “progressive” Christians, mixing
evolution and Creation. We reason in ourselves that, “maybe it
didn’t happen the way I have always thought and been taught. I
still believe in God and no matter how it happened, we really
know God did it.”

But that is not true. The Holy Bible very clearly states the
process of Creation. We even know the order in which the animals
and mankind was created. There is no reason to guess or doubt.
Either we believe God at His word, or we don’t. If we don’t,
then the blood of Jesus Christ cannot cover our sins for the
Scripture states that, “whosoever BELIEVETH in him, shall not
perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) To believe is an
absolute necessity. There is no way to half believe in Jesus
Christ. Either we do or we don’t: simple as that.

We do not have to be rich or poor to enter Heaven. We do not
have to be able to read and write. It is not important whether
our friends and peers consider us well read or intelligent. The
only ultimately important requirement is that we believe on
Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins and take Him at His
word.

“Keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and
vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be
with thee. Amen.” (1 Timothy 6:20-21)

Drawing a face isn’t as hard as it looks. To draw a realistic human face, it takes mapping out the face correctly before you fill in the finer detail. If you would like to get the most out of this article, I recommend sitting down with a pad and paper and drawing each step as you read it.

To begin, start with an egg shaped oval. Draw a line down the center of this egg. This line will give you a midpoint for measuring eye separation, nose width, etc.

Next, separate the egg shape into 3 equal portions (horizontal lines) with 2 lines. The top of the egg will be be the top of the hairline and the bottom of that segment will be the eyebrows. The second segment goes from the eyebrows to the bottom of the nose. The third segment goes from the bottom of the nose to the bottom of the chin.

Two of these segments turned sideways will give you the measurement sideways from cheek to cheek.

The measurement of one eye should be equal to the distance between the two eyes. The corner of each eye should line up with the wings of the nose.

If you divide the third segment (under the nose) in half, with a horizontal line, you have the line for the bottom of the bottom lip. The corners of the mouth should line up with the middle of the pupil of the eye.

The ears should be visible from a front view as they do not sit flat on the side of your head. These points can be found by finding the middle segment from the eyebrow to the bottom of the nose. The ears should only stick out about as far as from the center line of the head to the wing of the nose.

The hair can be drawn by drawing the hair from the edge of the ear up. The top of the hair is of one of the segment lengths up from the hair line.

The eye, the nose and mouth are the main structures that must be more closely examined in order to draw a face correctly.

* The nonconformity has not been successfully repaired after a
“reasonable” number of attempts, and/or

* The vehicle has been out of service for a total of a certain
number of days for repair of the nonconformity.

If you decide to handle this yourself then be sure of the

1. That you understand your state’s lemon law.

2. That you document everything relating to repairs of the
vehicle, including when and where it was repaired, who signed
the work order and what work was done.

You should then contact the manufacturer in writing, alerting

arbitration process. This involves both you and a representative
of the manufacturer explaining your respective situations to a
panel that will then provide a ruling.

Today’s day will be the most memorable day in my life. Why? An honorable meeting with the most reputed Tea Guru I have ever known, Mr. Rajah Banerjee of Makaibari Tea Estates, was possible. I had heard hundreds of stories about him and his tea estate particularly his love for animals, environment and above all his people.

Upon hearing so many stories, I had taken a ‘particular snapshot’ of him in my mind and was eagerly waiting to synchronize as soon as I set my foot on Makaibari’s premises. Although, I had gone there to procure some organic teas for my selected clients, I found out that I was inclined more towards meeting him than procuring the teas. I guess, the love for tea which Mr. Banerjee shares with the world made my thoughts draw an arrow of urgency towards Mr. Banerjee’s presence.

I got down and entered the Makaibari gate - Guess what? “Excuse me Sir, what work do you have here? Whom do you want to meet?” the guard standing on the gate asked. I guess those were necessary questions to be asked to anyone entering inside and I totally agree, afterall its one of the most reputed tea estates of the world. As Mr. Bannerjee and I were having email sessions from beforehand, I was called inside instantly without any hesitation.

The first impression of my imprinted thoughts synchronized well regarding the outfit he was wearing - an essence of the British Raj reflected with his Khaki outfit, and I guess that is how it must have felt when anyone was meeting a ‘Bara Sahib’ in the olden days. He signaled me to take a seat and requested me to wait for sometime as he was attending to his official work with one of his office staff. After a couple of moments, he was free to chat with me. Well, I was literally hesitant to speak up anything, thinking that I might speak something which may prove to be blatant and inappropriate. Well, the silence was broken when the Tea Guru handed me his visiting card, shook hands with me and asked me with a smiling and welcoming face - “So young man, it’s a pleasure to meet you, please tell me your story?” The down to earth behaviour from the other side evaporated my hesitant feeling from every pore of my body into thin air. I started my part and after a while we were laughing like little kids engrossed in our own world of friendship. Yes, we were friends in no time and I assume we could understand each other maybe through the common platform we shared - “Our Love for Tea”.

By the time we finished our little chat for about an hour (yes, with heavenly amber sips in between), I could devise my brain instruments to record it and synchronize with my previous imagery. I found him to be a person, who is capable of walking hand-in-hand with his tea laborers, a person who respects life, believes in equality and above all a person who understands the importance of respecting other’s feelings. A person you would dream to meet.

Now it was time for our little tea tasting session of the First Flush Silver Tips I was buying. Oh Boy! A heavenly brew which opened all of my sensory gates. The Tea Guru gave me a good number of tips on tea tasting and guess what; it was of great help and a new discovery when done following his guidelines. What he says about tea tasting - “Tea tasting is ABSTRACT, learn to associate with known flavors you know about and you will get your tea’s divine description”.

The tea tasting session was over and after spending more than two hours with him, I didn’t want to waste anymore of Mr. Banerjee’s time. Some Japanese group was waiting for his presence downstairs and it was now time for me to pay and head for home.

My Wife Made Me Look Stupid! (quoted with her permission):
In the morning when I headed for Makaibari, I had told my wife to get the money in the bag and leave it on the bed. I got my digital camera, pushed it inside my bag and bid goodbye. I had about One Lac INR and now I was in Makaibari ready to pay the required amount to the man concerned. I had kept the bag inside Mr. Banerjee’s office which had an open door leading to the tasting room and a long corridor which could be traversed by any of his staff members. I opened the bag and Boom! A thunder exploded right on my head - No money in the bag!! Guess about the situation!! I informed Mr. Banerjee about the situation and he too was utterly confused. All of the staff members were confused and don’t ask about me - you can guess - A Dead Man standing live! My brains could not work and from a corner, one of the staff members suggested me - “why don’t you try and call home, you might have left it at home” - Not in a million. I was sure that my wife had put the money inside the bag otherwise she wouldn’t have placed the bag on the bed as I had directed her to do. I was dialing and at the very moment my wife called - “Darling, I want to tell you one thing, but before I say, promise me you won’t get angry”; I was literally irritated and she said, “I am sorry, but I put the money in the wrong bag” - A mixed feeling of joy and anger ran through my vein. The news brought a sigh of relief to all of the staff members and Mr. Banerjee too couldn’t express his feelings properly, but he was calm and told me that mistakes do happen and there was nothing to worry about.

After a while everything was normal and the memory was cherished instantly when the accountant of Makaibari and myself sat laughing and chatting sipping in the ethereal silver tips.

The Makaibari Silver Tips got loaded on my vehicle and I bid Mr. Banerjee goodbye - “Benoy keep dropping down to Makaibari” with a similing face that had initially welcomed me. I headed home with a tremendous feeling of joy, happiness and yes of course with a yearning to scold my wife, but that didn’t happen - the story itself proved so funny that I forgot everything and we were busy brewing the new silver tips.

To conclude, the words of Dalle (Mr. Banerjee’s personal tea maker assistant) still is reverberating in my ears “Sir, whatever happens, it happens for good and maybe it was God’s wish which prevented you from really losing your money through other means”. Guess Dalle is right!

Or is it that God wanted the whole Makaibari family to remember the incident forever. Maybe it is! Even if Mr. Banerjee forget’s me in the future, I can pull in the story anytime I meet him and bring back the hilarious past.
