Online Poker Tools are to Online Poker Cheats, as Vitamins are to Steroids

Filed under: Online Gambling — admin @ 9:14 pm

Online Poker Tools will help improve your play. Online Poker Cheats may improve your play. Online Poker Tools are legal to use at Online Poker Rooms. Online Poker Cheats are illegal and when detected your account will be closed, your money seized.

Online Poker Tools defined

An Online Poker Tool is any device that a player uses to assist or help play Online Poker. Online Poker Tools conform to the Terms and Conditions of the Online Poker Room. Technically, a pad and calculator could be an Online Poker Tool. Most Poker Tools are software that is used before, during, or after play.

Online Poker Cheats described

Generally speaking, an Online Poker Cheat is any Software/Program that when utilized, breaches the Terms and Conditions of your Online Poker Room. Most reputable Poker Rooms’ Terms and Conditions provide a description of banned practice, as well as a citation of specifically banned software. Online Poker Robots are a subset of Online Poker Cheats.

Where is the Cheating Line?

Where is the cheating line between Online Poker Tools and Online Poker Cheats? The line exists where your Online Poker Room sets it. Although Cheat creators like to argue about it - for better or worse - the Poker Room holds all the chips on this issue (pardon the pun). When you initiate an account with a Poker Room, you agree to their terms and conditions. What they call a cheat, is by default a cheat.

Cheats tend to fester in three areas - data mining, card prediction, and automated play.

Data mining - is where a Software/Program assimilates historical information for use during or after play. In general, it is okay to use information saved from hands you’ve played in. For hands that you haven’t played in, the use of Cheats to gather historical information is illegal. The process of repetitive data mining is done by Robots.

Card prediction - some programs insist they have broken the code on the random number generators used by Poker Rooms. Statistically speaking, this is unlikely. These Programs are illegal.

Automated play - any Program that takes the player out of the loop of play (where the program plays a complete hand without a player click) is illegal. Automated players are often called Robots.

How Prevalent are Online Poker Tools and Online Poker Cheats?

Any guessing on the prevalence of Tools or Cheats can at best be described as a ballpark guess.

Online Poker Tools are growing at a rapid rate, and because of their legality, their growth is unchecked. It is estimated that 17% of Online Poker Players use Online Poker Tools.

Online Poker Cheats exist in a fast moving battle zone. The battle zone exists between their Creators and the Poker Rooms. Once a Cheat achieves popularity, Poker Rooms respond and install counter measures. It may be estimated that less then 1% of Players are attempting to use Online Poker Cheats.

Conclusions

The Online Poker Player has many options available to improve their play. These options include Online Poker Tools and Online Poker Cheats. The decision of Tools or Cheats is not too dissimilar then the choice that athletes have to improve their game - Vitamins or Steroids? For most of us who play to improve their games, for leisure and fun - Online Poker Tools adequately fit the bill! Of course there are those few out there that will continually explore the shadows for a ‘perceived’ temporary edge. For those few, Online Poker Cheats come and go.

Wedding Planning: Prioritize to Stay Within Your Wedding Budget

Filed under: Hall Of Relationships — admin @ 10:56 am

So you’re planning your wedding and a thousand decisions must be made! It can be an exciting, but tiring experience to pull off the wedding of your dreams, especially within your budget.

The best way to evaluate how and where to allocate your wedding budget is to determine exactly what your priorities are. What do you deem important for your Big Day? What specific areas or elements of the wedding ceremony and reception do you value the most?

Remember: there are no right or wrong answers! The priorities you and your fiancé place on various aspects of your wedding simply reflect who you are as individuals and who you are together as a couple. Price, however, is an important factor in determining your priorities in many instances. You may choose some elements of your wedding to be practical and affordable, thereby allowing you to indulge in certain items or areas that are your “favorites”.

When you decide to sit down and pinpoint definitive priorities, you’ve won half the battle. It’s easy to delegate money and tasks when you understand what is the most important to you, as well as what is the least important.

Task: (Note: You’ll probably want to set aside 30 minutes to an hour for this.)

1. Grab two pieces of paper so you and your fiancé can each create a separate list (no peeking!) of the top 20 places to which you would like to assign money. As well, include a rough estimate of what amount may be spent for every item on your list. When you are finished, add up the total of your estimates to ensure that it does not exceed your budget’s allowance.

2. If you are having trouble coming up with dollar amounts, try using percentages instead. Set aside 10% of your wedding budget for miscellaneous expenses, and using the remaining 90%, allocate a percentage to each item on your list. This will put your priorities in order.

3. Compare lists and discuss.

You may find that you value some things less than you initially thought…good! This means that you’re closer to deciding what parts will or will not play a big role in your wedding. If you and your fiancé have conflicting top choices…even better! Talk about where you can compromise or meet in the middle. This is the perfect opportunity to amalgamate your ideas and expectations to create a wedding that suits both of you perfectly.

When you fully understand what your priorities are as a couple, you’ll be better prepared to make honest decisions that will get you closer to the wedding of your dreams. By properly identifying and understanding your priorities, you’ll be more satisfied with your choices and will more readily stay within your wedding budget.

Water Distribution Activity

_________________________________________________________________________

Stage One: Background

Background Concepts:
Water is the only known substance that exists naturally as a solid, liquid and gas on the earth’s surface. Almost 97% of the earth’s water is too salty to drink. Most of the fresh water is in glaciers and ice caps. Less than 1% of the earth’s water is available for our use. We must conserve the water available to us.

Ground water flows underground through the soil and rocks. Ground water supplies wells and springs.

Surface water is above ground in lakes, swamps, rivers and ground ice.

EARTH’S WATER

Saltwater:
Oceans, seas, and bays 96.5%
Freshwater: 3.5%
Icecaps, glaciers and permanent snow 1.74%
Ground water 1.7 0%
Lakes 0.013%
Swamp water and rivers 0.001%
Soil moisture and atmosphere 0.002%
Ground Ice 0.022%
Other 0.022%

_________________________________________________________________________

Stage Two: PreLab
Answer questions before completing the activity

1. Carefully read the directions for the activity. Read everything. Don’t just skim it.

2. Write at least one question you have about the activity.

3. Brainstorm everything that you know about water distribution. Write as much as you can. Don’t be concerned about spelling or editing.

4. What is the overall purpose of the activity? Write one sentence describing how what you are being asked to do today will help you learn about water distribution. What will completing this activity teach you about water supply and distribution?

_________________________________________________________________________

Stage Three: InLab
Complete during the activity

Materials:
1000 mL beaker
100 mL graduated cylinder
6 small jars
Food coloring
Eyedropper
Seven 3 X 5 cards

Procedure: Check off each step after you complete it.

____ 1. Fill the 1000 mL beaker with tap water. The full beaker represents all of earth’s water.

____ 2. Pour 35 mL of water from the beaker into the 100 mL graduated cylinder. The 35 mL represents all of earth’s fresh water. The 965 mL left in the beaker represents the saltwater in the oceans.

____ 3. Add a few drops of food coloring to both beakers. Make saltwater and fresh water different colors.

____ 4. Divide the 35 mL of fresh water by pouring it into the smaller jars.

____A. Pour 174 mL into the first jar. This represents the fresh water in glaciers and icecaps.

____B. Pour 170 mL into the second jar to represent groundwater.

____C. Pour 13 mL into the third jar to represent water in lakes.

____D. Place 1 drops into the fourth jar to represent water in rivers and swamps.

____E. Place 2 drops into the fifth jar to represent the water in the atmosphere and soil.

____F. Pour 22 mL into the sixth jar to represent ground ice.

____ 5. Label a 3 x 5 card with:
A. glaciers and icecaps
B. underground
C. lakes
D. rivers and swamps
E. atmosphere and soil
F. ground ice
G. saltwater

____ 6. Place each 3 x 5 card you made in front of the jar or beaker it goes with. Draw a picture of your jars and beaker under observations.

____ 7. Use your results to answer these questions.

1. Where is most of earth’s water?

2. Where is most of earth’s fresh water?

_________________________________________________________________________

Stage Four: PostLab
Write a lab report
You will begin by describing in writing the materials and methods you used and then your results. You will write a summarizing paragraph.

Section One
Materials and Methods: Describing the procedure

Write one paragraph describing the procedure you followed during this activity. Make sure to use enough detail about your materials and methods that someone else could repeat your procedure.

Hint: Refer to your PreLab, this handout, background materials, the textbook and any notes you took during the activity.

Section Two

Results: Making sense of your data for yourself and others

Step 1: Review all the data from your experiment. Summarize the main finding of the activity in one sentence.

Step 2: Conclusions
Answer the questions in complete sentences.
1. Should cities near the ocean use the water from the ocean for household and industry? Explain your answer.

2. Should saltwater be treated to remove the salt and then used as fresh water?

3. Is water in icecaps and glaciers accessible to humans? Why or why not?

4. How can we conserve our fresh water?

Section Three
Discussion: Interpreting the results

Step 1: Write a one-sentence statement of your conclusion(s) about the results.

Step 2: Write a paragraph stating how the data from your activity should influence future decisions about water conservation, use and supply?

Note: This activity incorporates the premise of the college LabWrite program developed by North Carolina State University: http://www.ncsu.edu/labwrite/

EBay Sniper - Save Money by Bidding Smarter

Filed under: Bids — admin @ 10:23 am

If you buy items off of eBay, an eBay Sniper is the single best investment you can make. For many reasons contained in this article it will save you the cost of the program many times over. I’m sure you’ve experienced the “been-sniped” syndrome. Up until 10 seconds before auction end, you have the top bid. Piece of cake, you think. You even bump up your bid by a few bucks to be sure. The auction ends, but after refreshing the auction page, you see you were beaten. Someone bid last second. That guy must be fast! Only that guy is asleep in bed, and an eBay sniper running on his computer outbid you for him. Not fair. The only way to compete is to use the same advantage of an eBay sniper. Besides, as you’ll read later in this article, it actually makes smart economic sense to use an eBay sniper.

3 types of eBay bidders

There are basically 3 types of bidders. The first is the minimum bidder. This is the person that bids the next minimum bid, and when outbid does the same minimum bid. This only drives up the price of the item as most bidders like this are not serious about the item.

The second type of bidder is the emotional bidder. This is the one that keeps outbidding the other person no matter what, and only cares about winning, no matter how much they are actually paying for the item. This is great for the seller and eBay(they get final value fees), but not so great for the buyer, as the price can be triple what the item is worth. Team this up with the minimum bidder and the prices really skyrocket.

The third type of bidder is the smart bidder. They use an eBay sniper. They choose the price they feel is the most they are willing to pay for the item, put that in, and set it and forget it. This way, there’s no bidding war. If the item goes for too much, there will be another coming along just like it and probably an even better deal.

Why an eBay sniper is the best way to bid

eBay wants you to believe that you should use their proxy bidding system. While it is true that you can put in your maximum bid and the program will auto-bid against other bids on your behalf, you don’t want your bid to go in until the final seconds of the auction. Until your snipe goes in, eBay has no idea you are bidding. Your competitors have no idea you are bidding. You just swoop in and snipe the item at the last moment. The only way to lose is if someone else is willing to pay more. If someone is willing to pay more, no matter what you’ll lose, that’s just how eBay works. Most people are either minimum bidders or emotional bidders, though, and against tho you will win easily. Also something to keep in mind with the final prices. The more an item sells for, the more eBay gets as it’s cut. This is why you won’t see on any of their pages that an eBay sniper is a way to get better deals.

There are even more benefits from using an eBay sniper. For one, an item is more attractive to other buyers once it has bids. It must be a bargain or no one would be bidding they are thinking. When an item has no bids, most people are looking for the reason why nobody is bidding and will likely not bid for that exact reason. Waiting until the end of the auction to bid means the item is less likely to gain the attention of other buyers, giving you a chance at an even better deal.

Another benefit is that you have time to think over you bid and change your mind if needed. eBay does not look fondly to retracting bids, and doing it more than once may get your permanently banned from eBay. You may realize the next day that you really don’t need the item, or that the bid you had in mind is a little more than you want to pay for it. You can change the bid that will be put in, or even cancel it altogether. You’re not committed to buying the item until just a few seconds before the end of the auction.

There is more than the type of eBay sniper that runs on your computer. Some are online ones you sign into on the web and it snipes for you. For some this is a good move, especially if you are using dial-up. For others, they don’t want a 3rd party to have all of their eBay information. What if the site gets broken into, someone could go to town and ruin your eBay account, also making you responsible for any purchases or sales. For these reasons, many choose to use an eBay sniper that runs off of their own personal computer, so all the information is self-contained on their own computer and nobody else has any of their personal information. Add in that software on your own computer is a one-time cost, and no monthly costs of $5+ a month, and it’s a winning deal. You get better deals, less work, and a more enjoyable eBay experience. Just a few dollars for a piece of software that can do all that for you is an incredible deal and should be had by everyone even semi-serious about eBay.

The secret is in your mind - Learn the fitness mindset with these five simple steps

Filed under: Templates Center — admin @ 9:33 am

Copyright 2005 Paul Bunting

I met her at a networking group early one morning. Lacy (name
changed for privacy reasons) was in her 40s and had a lot going
for her. She was intelligent, well spoken, and confident in her
ability to run her own Law Firm as an attorney. Lacy was able to
enjoy many things in life that others whom believed themselves
to “less fortunate” did not think they could enjoy. However,
there was one big issue Lacy struggles with. It is an issue that
you may recognize in another person, or even in yourself. Body
image and fitness.

It was no secret that Lacy was a woman of large bone structure;
something genetic that she has absolutely no control over
whatsoever. It was also no secret that Lacy tried just about
every trick and diet in the book to lose weight and get into
shape. In fact, Lacy was bold enough to announce to the entire
networking group of over 30 people her ambitions to fit into a
sexy lingerie outfit for her husband and feel like a word I
better not mention in this article (but I’m sure you have a good
imagination).

Being a fitness professional myself, Lacy and myself were bound
to be a magical match made in fitness and diet bliss, or one may
have thought. After all, my track record is very good, and over
the years I have been able to guide many people into discovering
how to stay fit, so helping Lacy make this discovery would come
naturally right?

Actually not. I worked with Lacy for a couple of months and
after that Lacy decided the low carb diet she was insistent on
sticking to was not working, and she was going to go off on her
own program again. Think this is uncommon? Think again, Lacy was
doing what many people do when it comes to health and fitness.

As previously mentioned I have helped many people discover how
they can live the fitness lifestyle. However, there is another
side to the story. There have been more people that I have
crossed paths with in a professional manor that have not been
able to maintain the fitness lifestyle. For years I wondered how
and why this happens. What causes a person to invest so much
time, thought, and effort into the idea of getting into shape
only to succumb to disappointment and end up exactly opposite of
where they wanted to be?

I eventually discovered it’s all in the mind. Lacy was the way
she was because of the way she thought about fitness and
nutrition in relation to herself. In her career Lacy obviously
demonstrated the characteristics of successful thinking. In her
idea of diet and fitness Lacy demonstrated the opposite.

You may be wondering how does one swing the thinking pendulum
from fitness failure to fitness success and make it stay to
fitness success?

If “one” is willing to change some basic fundamentals in thought
the process can be happen with great ease and simplicity.
Outlined below are five things you can do to adopt the fitness
mindset and easily be as fit as you decide to be;

1. Do NOT set goals for yourself. When you set a goal you create
an expectation that is formulated from a desire. Very often
people will set a goal that they do not believe in their hearts
they can achieve, but it would be nice. There are many small
things that must be done in order for a big “goal” to
materialize. Additionally, not accomplishing a goal often leads
to feelings of disappointment, failure; resentments and the end
of the New Year’s resolution to be in shape. Instead of
definitive goal setting you can:

2. Decide to move the direction of fitness and wellness:

There are many ways to exercise, with none being “the ultimate
workout” or supreme to the rest. Selecting an activity that you
can decide to enjoy is a key element to lasting exercise
success. Make the decision to eat foods than help you feel well,
not frenzied. If something is called a die-t you may be better
off passing and selecting a different way of eating. It is
relatively common knowledge at this point that low carb is not
the most effective choice in weight loss. Do you homework about
nutrition and:

3. Let go of the habits that are not working, including thinking!

If you have decided to want to change something you are going to
have to do something different than what you have been doing to
get you to this point. Assess the way you think about yourself.
If you think of yourself as not being able to stick to a fitness
program, or someone who is constantly struggling to get in shape
decide to think different thoughts. You can do this by:

4. Asking yourself a series of questions:

If being in shape is what you want; hold that question in mind
and ask yourself what would it take to do that? By going inside
and looking to your own higher consciousness for answers there
is no limit as to what you can discover. This process works best
when you make the decision to take time for yourself on a daily
basis to inquire inward. When you make a regular practice of
inquiring inward you will discover many things. To materialize
and experience them you must:

5. Take Action!

What you discover by looking inward you can materialize through
your actions. Through a series of small actions repeated on a
regular basis you can materialize and experience a big change.

You have the ability to make the coming year your personal best
starting with the moment or right now. When your right now is
good, things that you enjoy can naturally happen without even
having to make a whole lot of effort. It all starts in your
mind!

Meditation: The Art Of Seeking The Silence

Filed under: New Age Tips + More — admin @ 9:17 am

Within every obstacle there is an equivalent or greater benefit. ~Napoleon Hill

How would it feel if you rose to each obstacle with calm determination…completely free of anxiety and depression…ready to face each challenge with a smile?

How would it feel to look in the mirror and see yourself as unstoppable, invincible, and even a force of nature?

This can be much more than an exercise in imagination. You can experience this level of personal power and the profound sense of accomplishment that comes with it–and you can accomplish it through meditation.

When you meditate you slow down all your autonomic responses. You cut the fight or flight switch. You watch your anxiety, and remain detached. You watch your depression, and remain apart. The one with the life issue, the one with the sorrow, is not the one who watches the play of emotions.

In meditation, a watcher personality emerges, a consciousness that transcends the world, a vast spaciousness, a void that is paradoxically full.

If your agitation is strong, you may have to sit for a while, then, slowly and inevitably, you’re forced to lose your grip on panic.

When this happens, when you’re no longer living the problem, something shifts inside you and you find yourself still enough to see your own greatness.

In this vast stillness of your own beingness, you can plant the seed of your new desire, and replace the sorrowful event with its exact opposite.

Every tragedy in our life is an invitation to expand beyond the limitations that it sets upon us, and what you find is that you are indeed unstoppable, invincible, and even a force of nature.
