The Power to Change Through Your Dreams!

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

After having worked with dreams over the past 15 years, there is
little doubt in my mind of the ability to cause change as a
result of your dreams.

One lady, in particular, who attended one of my dream classes
was haunted by a recurring dream of people being mutilated. This
really was virtually a nightly occurrence for her. In my dream
class I teach that people, and things, in your dreams represent
aspects of you. It is important as well to understand that
dreams are a reflection of one’s thinking. In her case, the
mutilation-type thinking was something on a conscious level that
she was experiencing, in her everyday waking state.

I came to the conclusion that she must be hard on herself, that
she would beat herself up, “mutilate” herself, if you will, on a
mental and emotional level. Interestingly, her friend had
accompanied her to the dream class. When I said to the woman
having the dream “You must be very hard on yourself!”, her
friend shook her head in the affirmative. She knew exactly what
I was talking about. Sometimes our friends can see us more
objectively that we can.

This woman’s dream was prompting her to change, as all recurring
dreams do. Once she understood that her dream was a result of
type of thinking, she knew what to do. Instead of belittling
herself, she began having more respect for herself.

Several months later, I met up with this woman again at another
dream class I was holding. She told me that the mutilation
dreams had virtually stopped. And now, when a dream presented a
message to her, she sought to understand it. She sought to be an
agent of change for herself.

We do create our reality through our thoughts and attitudes. Our
dreams exist to make us more aware of how we are creating our
lives through our thoughts. They allow us the opportunity to
cause change in ourselves. If we are in a rut, our dreams will
let us know about it. And the recurring dream is telling us that
we are definitely in a rut.

Life is about change. There is a saying that if you change your
thoughts, you change your life…and your dreams as well. Dreams
are a wonderful barometer of where we are at on the path of
life. Whether we are in harmony or anguish, the inner self will
alert you to this through your dreams.

The power to change is within every individual. When you tap
into the power of your dreams, it is like tapping into a best
friend that tells you like it is. The ability to understand your
dreams can alleviate years of heartache and misunderstanding.
Had this woman not come to my dream class, she might still be
having the recurring dreams. We are our own best “psychic.” No
one knows us better than our inner self. Each morning upon
arising, reflect upon your dreams. Were they pleasant or
disturbing? That alone will alert you to what is going on within
you. Your dreams only reveal truth about you. There is such
power in that.

Strive to understand the universal meaning of your dreams and
your will make great strides in gaining self-understanding.

Use your dreams for all they’re worth!

Fly Fishing Gifts for Christmas

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year unless you’re having
problems coming up with gift ideas. Here are a few fly fishing
gift ideas.

Okay, I’ll be the first one to admit publicly that buying gifts
for the holidays can be a pain in derriere. When it comes right
down to it, how well do you know someone and how do you know
what he or she likes? Buying for kids is great because you can
always peak at the letter to Santa. Unfortunately, most adults
have given up writing to Santa and you really don’t want to read
through there other letters. Fortunately, this isn’t a problem
if you are buying for a fly fishing enthusiast.

Fly Fishing Gifts

Fly fishing is an extremely popular sport and a good way to
become one with nature. Of course, you probably don’t care about
any of that. Instead, you want to know what you should buy for
guy or gal in your life that loves to go fly fishing. Well, here
are a few ideas.

1. Flies - You lucky dog, the top gift you can give a fly
fisherman is a fly. Flies are the “bait” that go on the end of
the line and are used to attract fish. Flies come in a variety
of types and forms. The most basic are Nymphs and Mayflies,
which mimic a type of bug that lives in rivers and is considered
fine dining by bass and other fish. You can expect to pay a
couple of bucks per fly, so feel free to buy more than one.

2. Local Specialty Fly - Okay, this will take a bit of effort on
your part. Every fishing area has a specialty fly that is known
to have fish leaping out of the water before casting even
begins. Since the exact fly varies from location to location,
you need to stop by a local fishing store and ask for advice.
Try to pick a beat up looking shop with gentlemen of an older
persuasion. They’ll talk your ear off, but you’ll get something
unique.

3. Fly Station - Okay, this is going to be a more costly item. A
fly station looks like a small desk and for a good reason. The
fly station is where your beloved angler will sit and create his
or her own flies. Part of the allure of fly fishing is tying
your own flies and fly stations are built for this purpose. You
can expect to pay as low as $75 and as high as anyone has the
never to charge.

4. Nomad Fly Fishing Journals - A little self-promotion here.
Nomad Fly Fishing Journals are compact writing journals that let
anglers keep notes on their efforts. They can note the fishing
conditions, which flies worked the best, who the fished with and
notes on what they should do differently next time. You can
click the link at the bottom of this article to see the journals
and expect to pay $25 for the journal and waterproof case.

If you’re looking for fly fishing gifts, consider yourself
lucky. The equipment tends to be inexpensive and last a very
long time.

The Right Way To Write, Publish, and Sell Your Book

I really looked forward to reading this book. Being a reader, but more importantly a writer, it was something I hoped I would be able to use in areas that I was lacking in. Well, I am so glad I choose to review this book. I have been a writer for almost 5 years. I got started in scripts, which lead me into children’s stories. I have had one published through a writing contest but that is it. I have wanted to take all of my writings much further but honestly I didn’t have a clue where to start. Sure I had read books on how to improve my writing skills but I could find anything on the market that made the next process easier to understand. Contacts, agents, submissions, query letter, and I had never heard of a book proposal before.

This book shows you step-by-step each and everything you need to do in getting your work published. For me the most impressive part was the book proposal and query letter. I had heard about the mysterious query letter, but I could never find anyone to go into details about it. Patricia, you did that, and you did it well. Nothing complicated, just straight forward - there it is.

I HIGHLY recommend this book for any writer. It doesn’t matter if you write scripts, poetry, songs, children’s stories, novels, chapter books, plays, series, etc. You can all
benefit from this book. I can’t see how you could possibly fail with this book. The next best thing is Patricia coming to your house and doing it personally. I am using her methods as we speak.
