Internet Bingo has become popular and a lot of people whether young or old all over the world have internet bingo as their pastime. Some though play in the hope of winning money especially because the said game is easy to play with its simple rules.
To start playing internet bingo, you have to buy a bingo card which you can select from around 50,000 cards available on online gambling sites. Some bingo sites though offer random card selection using their software so it is up to you whether you would want to choose your own or use the random selection method. Sometimes, bingo sites present random selection of the cards with the help of special software.
In some sites, you may buy as many bingo cards as you want though most of the sites only allow every player to purchase 32-50 bingo cards. There are also some bingo sites that require that each player has the same number of bingo cards to be fair.
The winning pattern for every internet bingo game appears on screen and could be patterned horizontally, diagonally or vertically. If you are playing the Blackout or Coverall game, all numbers on your bingo card should match the ones on screen for you to win. In normal bingo games though, only 5 matched numbers are needed in the specified pattern to win in Internet bingo.
Internet bingo offers you the convenience you want because you may choose to play it at anytime you want. You have the choice to play fun games that are for free or the real online bingo games wherein you would have to pay cash to play and get the chance to win real money. Take note that online bingo can offer its players huge jackpots, making the winner’s dreams come true.

Do you have a favorite thinking game? As a child growing up, I used to love to play games that were puzzles, something to challenge me not physically but challenge my mind. We used to do simple things like create objects out of clouds or find out what would happen when too much water was added to the mud pie. Nevertheless, it seems that many children in our society today are rather uninterested in those types of games. They now just do what the Game Boy tells them to.
Recently, playing a Game Boy game, I found it to be amazing that the game was so simplistic in that it often told me what to do when I was lost or maybe unsure of what to do next. Now, I am not a regular player nor do I know if this is common, but what happened to the fun of trying to figure the puzzle out? How do you get through the door or find the missing item? You keep trying until you do, right?
The good news is that you don’t have to allow your children’s brains to go whoosh! You can offer them computer games that are more mind challenging rather than time fillers. Games like Mah Jong encourage people (children included) to develop a plan for solving the problem at hand. This plan is one that will keep you focused on the goal ahead and keep your brain trying to figure out the next move. There are hundreds of others that use all sorts of skill including solving problems.
So, just what does all this mean for you? Should you give your child these mind challenging games and rip away the games they currently play? Unless you are out for them to hate you, we don’t recommend that. But, allow them to have the ability to access these games and you may find that they are often drawn to them. Children’s minds are like sponges, soaking up whatever is thrown at them. So, they don’t find their own puzzles to play with anymore. That doesn’t me they don’t need those problem solving skills.
Have you ever been in an environment where a child just can not do anything for themselves? They need mom or dad to tie their shoes. They need mom or dad to fix their problem with friends. They can not solve their own problem. This is a large problem and one that parents need to take notice of. Can playing computer games that encourage problem solving skills really help? They are not the whole answer but they can be part of the solution.
What you can do is provide games like puzzles, word, math and even card games that children can play on the web or download them to your computer. These will help to strengthen their skills in problem solving, in dealing with reactions, and in preparing for the unknown. Guess what? It’s also a really fun thing to do with your kids too! Make it mean something even more by playing along with them!

Kakuro puzzles are the latest craze that is currently making great waves in the puzzle game field. It also has played a significant impact in many areas around the world. These puzzles are closely following the footsteps of the Sudoku puzzles that is currently enjoying worldwide success. Kakuro puzzles are also known as a numbers game, which require simple and pure logic as well as a basic knowledge of the addition and subtraction mathematical concepts.
Also referred as Cross Sums, especially during its early days, Kakuro puzzles are also considered by many as the numerical equivalent of the crossword puzzle. This is because it makes use of numbers instead of the usual words. And just like the crossword, the Kakuro also comes in various sizes, from the compact size to the giant size, and ranges, from the very easy to the extremely hard.
The modern version of Kakuro puzzles nowadays comes in a variety of forms. While the traditional type, which is of the square and rectangular shape, is still around, referred to as the classic kakuro, there are other variations of the puzzle game which have already been developed and which can surely catch the attention of many puzzle game enthusiasts. There is, for instance, the holey kakuro, which is similar to the classic kakuro, except for the fact that it has holes in the middle. Then there is the round kakuro which, as its name suggests, is round on the outside, although the shape is actually more diamond-like, with some versions having holes in the middle as well.
Today, with the advent of modern technology, Kakuro puzzles now also come out in computer software program formats, which naturally makes the game more enjoyable to play, in terms of visuals. The puzzle has also found it way on the worldwide web, where kakuro players are given the opportunity to try to solve the puzzle online. One can even get to see how other players are faring as far as solving the puzzle is concerned. Kakuro news and articles as well as various techniques and strategies designed to either make the game more enjoyable to play or make it easier to solve are also available on the internet.
However, many people still prefer to play Kakuro puzzles the old-fashioned or traditional way, which is the pen-pushing method. That is why the game is still being published in many newspapers as well as magazines. This is part of the reason why a new monthly magazine, known as the Kakuro Light, was conceptualized. Formally launched last March in the Netherlands by Sanoma Uitgevers B.V., the magazine, of course, carries the popular Kakuro puzzles and is marketed primarily for beginners of the game who are nevertheless eager to know how the puzzle is being played as well as finding out why this new puzzle kind in town is fast gaining the imagination as well as fancy of everyone who just happens to love the thrill of a puzzle game.

A RuneScape Autominer is a little macro software application programmed for the sake of automating the collecting of gold. With an autominer you can expect to gather bucket loads of gold by just staring at your computer.
Known as a wildly popular MMORPG, RuneScape has been the target of many autominer programmers around the world. Since other players are always wanting to become gaming Gods, programmers break into the opportunity of creating and selling the macro known as a RuneScape autominer. Since 2001 RuneScape counts with the participation of almost three million players, many of which are proud owners of a RuneScape Autominer.
However, RuneScape developers have taken the care of integrating security measures to their software to track suspicious behavior such as repetitive clicks and massive clicks. This software is the reason why at random intervals the RuneScape screen seems to move a bit, no more than some pixels. This small movement makes all types of autominers fall on their face because the clicks are made untargeted.
RuneScape Autominers have become so used and rehashed that you can now find them freely on the web. Google down RuneScape Autominer and you will find a plethora of macros that promise you both earth and sky. However do not get too excited about their promises for the reasons stated above.
The RuneScape autominer not only works for collecting heaps of gold. You can also use it to train, fish, clay soften, cut wood, collect bones and smelt smith. This process used to work very well by using recorded clicks that targeted the right places. However because of their abuse they have been rendered pretty much useless now.
Jeremy Tang is, like many others, obsessed with RuneScape the game. Check out what RuneScape codes are all about and start having fun as well.

There is a common misconception that you have to take out a second mortgage on your house if you want to get a computer that will run all of the latest and greatest games. I don’t know who started the rumor that you need to spend $3000 to get a gaming computer. The truth is, if you are smart about it, you can easily afford to get a high-end gaming computer. Here are a few simple rules to follow to put a gaming computer within reach.
Rule 1. Never buy the newest technology.
I know we all want to be the guy or girl with the newest toy, but you will never be able to keep up with technology. That top-of-the-line graphics card that came out today will be old news in just a couple of months and a new one will be released that is “so much better”. Guess what happens to the price of the new graphics card you just broke the bank on? It dropped by about 50%. If you would have just been patient you could have purchased it for a fraction of the cost.
Rule 2. You only have to keep up with the software.
Rule 2 closely correlates to Rule 1. It usually takes software companies two years, give or take, to develop a new game. During this time there are new technology breakthroughs. If they went back and re-engineered the game every time a new processor or a new graphics card came out, the game would never be released. Another important factor is that they want the game to be available to the largest number of consumers. For this reason they do their best to make sure the game can be played on a wide variety of systems. Check out the system requirements for some of the more popular games. A 1.8GHz processor and a Direct X 9 compatible graphics card will run just about everything out there. Granted you might have to turn some of the settings down but it will run it.
Once you reach a certain point the added performance of the new technology is noticeable. For example, the Athlon 64 chip has been out for more than a year, yet there are very few applications that require a 64 bit processor. If you check out benchmarks on the new PCI Express graphics cards you will see that they are running games at 300+ frames per second. When you watch a movie it runs at roughly 60 frames per second. A game will still run relatively smoothly at 20 frames per second. Basically anything over 60 frames per second likely will not be perceived while playing the game. You will only see the difference in your benchmark programs.
Rule 3. Build Your Own Computer
This is important for two reasons. First, you can be assured of better quality components when you pick everything out on your own. When you buy an off-the-shelf system, chances are you are getting a big name CPU and everything else is most likely generic. Do you know what motherboard, power supply, or type of RAM you are getting? This of course, is my personal opinion, I’m not saying every manufacturer builds sub standard machines, but from experience I’ve had greater longevity from the computers I’ve built myself. I’ve also noticed that you will often get little system memory, unless you pay a great deal more for it. You will often get 256MB of RAM with these base system. Windows XP will run, but likely with problems, on 256MB of RAM. It seems to be the most stable with 512MB or more. Other areas they cut costs is by using integrated graphics chips. This saves them having to put in a graphics card, but you will pay the price for it when you try to play a game.
The second reason to build your own computer is that you can cut your costs by stealing parts from your old computer. You can save hundreds of dollars by reusing the drives, case, monitor, keyboard and mouse. Plus, you don’t have to worry about calling a technician to install RAM or a new graphics card because you’ll already know how to do it.
How Much Can You Build A Computer For?
I just checked out some pricing and you can build a very nice midrange gaming computer for around $600-$700 using an AMD Athlon 64 3000+. If you can steal a DVD drive from your old computer and maybe the case, you can bring the cost down even more. You can build a high-end machine for under $1000. The internet is full of useful websites about how to build computers. Look around and you’ll find all the information you need. There are several books published about the topic as well. If you follow these simple rules and do a little research you can enjoy all of the best computer games even if you are on a shoestring budget.

It’s been almost four years since it’s debut and Animal Crossing is still a very popular title for owners of Nintendo GameCube. It’s adorable animal characters and evolving world make it a great game for kids and grownups (well some, say me) alike. But never, ever, under any circumstance play Animal Crossing with your husband. Take it from someone whose been there, some games are better left unshared
If you have never played Animal Crossing and are a fan of the ‘cute and simple’ games like Harvest Moon and Spyro the Dragon, this is a really fun game. You take on the persona of either a boy or a girl who decides it’s time to leave home and strike it out alone. Somehow you end up in a town inhabited by (talking) animals. It is a lovely little town and you decide to stay. In the town there is a shopkeep (Tom Nook), who is also a slum…er… landlord on the side. He will be happy to sell you one of the four homes he owns in trade for doing some odd jobs. Working hard you eventually pay off your home and can have an even bigger one made if you desire. At Tom’s shop and around the town you can find TONS of items and furniture to decorate with. Fun!
After having your basic needs for shelter and a cute coffee table met, you decide it’s time to get to know your neighbors. Have I mentioned they are talking animals? This town is a habitat for so many different types of wildlife, you ask yourself how they can possibly coexist as they do. They make it work and some eventually become friends of yours, or at least tolerated neighbors. You can visit their homes, give them gifts or just hang out with them. You can even design clothes for your toon or an animal friend to wear. Because everyday in the ‘real world’ is also a day in the Animal Crossing realm (say it’s September 17th here, it will also be Sept 17th in the game) there will be interesting things for you and your animal friends to do. You might pick fruit, fish, collect butterflies or attend a holiday festival. There is even a post office where you can write letters to the animals to let them know how much you like them so they don’t feel lonely and move away(it’s always sad when an animal feels neglected and leaves town).
I played Animal Crossing happily for many months, enjoying the changing of the seasons and the holidays. There is no violence or crime in the Animal Crossing world. The worst damage you can do to a resident is to hit him on the head with your butterfly net until they get angry and stormclouds brew over their heads. It was a peaceful existence I had with the animals and I cherished each moment. Until that one fateful day when my husband moved in.
My landlord had three other homes for rent so I thought I’d extend the offer to my husband. I wanted him to share in the lovely world the animals and I had created. I should have known early on, when the animals asked what his name was and he replied Jerk-Face that things would get ugly. But I have never been good at seeing red flags.
Jerk-Face worked hard to pay for his home. In fact, he had a much nicer home than I did within days. He toiled for Tom Nook and I admit to being a bit envious. He had not, however, made friends with any of the animals yet and I felt he was missing out on the comaraderie of the town. I urged him to venture out and meet his new friends. Although four people can live in the Animal Crossing town, only one person can play at a time. I had a long week at work so I told him that he was in charge of keeping the animals happy while I was away. On Friday I asked him how things in the Animal Crossing world were going. He smiled wickedly.
I had seen that smile before. We had played Sims together for awhile and this was the same smile he had when my sim-girl up and left my house to marry his evil, scientist sim, who made her work all day while he made potions. I think the scientist’s name was Jerk-Face, too. Why hadn’t I learned my lesson then?
I grabbed the controller and logged in my character. I quickly saw what he was grinning about. All of the animals were bringing me letters that Jerk-Face had written them. They went something like this…
Dear Cow….Sleep with one eye open you stupid buttwipe. I’m having steak for dinner! mwahahaha…Love and Kisses, Jerkface
The animals were also wearing new clothes, Jerk-Face exclusives. They were bright red and black nightmares with pictures of devils and skulls painted on them. I glared at my husband and he shrugged.
But, perhaps, the very worst thing he had done was to chase the animals with the butterfly net all week, hitting them so many times that a few left town without saying goodbye. He was quite proud of himself.
“What have you done to my town?!” I asked, wanting to find a butterfly net of my own to beat him over the head with.
“I’ve cleaned out the rabble.” He reported happily.
My face reddened. The animals had coexisted together but the whole town was in mayhem because Jerk-Face had moved in.
“You can’t play anymore.” I said to him, comforting a camel. That would teach him to destroy my fantasy world.
“Thank you.” he said, kissing my cheek and heading to his computer to turn on Grand Theft Auto.
I played AC after that, but it was never the same. I missed my friends that had moved away, and weeks later animals were still bringing me the letters Jerk-Face had written. Without anything to capture, beat, kill or zap my husband had been bored. Though we were both gamers our tastes differed greatly in genres. He had given mine a try, but in the end it played out his way.

Online gaming opens up a new world for those who love competition. In most MMORPGs, you compete with people from all over the world. I have been able to play many online games throughout the years. Most article writers, gaming journalist, etc. don’t have the time to properly analyze online role playing games. In this article, I will tell you:
- What makes a good online game?
- What makes a BAD online game?
- How do I satisfy everyone as a developer and make money at the same time?
- The best individual aspects of each game I have played.
- Which games I couldn’t wait to be released, but didn’t play when they finally released (and why.. )
- Why no one has been able to get it right since Ultima Online…
*As you read this article, keep in mind that I am an avid pvp enthusiast.*
Many of the worlds are constantly changing. The sheer size of the monumental projects usually equals a horrible launch. Even the billion dollar company, Sony Online Entertainment, failed in this arena with SWG.
It’s impossible for a gaming journalist to critique an online game in 6 months. There are so many things that change within that time span. Some magazines have realized this and have made adjustments to properly review online games. With that said, everything I mention in this article is based on *AT LEAST* a year of playing in each game. I hate jumping from one game to the next…
“So Tay, What makes a good online game for player killers, and pvp enthusiasts?”
First off, the game needs to be skill based. It’s better if you are rewarded for strategic thinking over “twitch based” reactions. You should never have a game that rewards time over skill. Of course, there should always be a few rewards for playing longer than someone else, but those rewards shouldn’t make you impossible to kill.
Second, you need a large player base. If there aren’t enough people playing, then what’s the point?
Next, there needs to be a point to all of this effort. You should always have a measurable and easily defined goal to work towards. Sieging castles, acquiring kill points, reaching the top of the ladder, loot acquisition, etc. are all good ways to keep most pvpers busy.
An attentive and responsive development team is a MUST. You don’t want a community where player questions and concerns are ignored for the sake of stockholders. That simply doesn’t create a long lasting game. You definitely shouldn’t create a team of players to gather the concerns of the community then promptly ignore them. *cough SWG*
Finally, the game needs to be fun. Fun isn’t a quality that is easily defined. Many people find different things interesting. You already know that I am heavily biased towards pvp(player versus player), so I will continue to focus on that. In order for a pvp game to be fun, the classes need to be balanced. Nothing on the face of the earth is perfect, but the developers need to realize that group based pvp should have classes with defined roles. Games with a more individual approach should have balanced characters.
Speaking of fun, it amazes me that so many games regurgitate the same content over and over again. Developers usually use this lame excuse: “Our game is the perfect sandbox for the blah blah blah. You should entertain yourself.” Even if you place a child in a room with other kids (plenty of toys around), those children will get extremely bored if the items they have to play with don’t allow them to be creative or create new content. Most of these companies make millions of dollars a month, but can’t afford to hire staff to interact with the players? Imagine visiting a store with nothing but security guards (GMs) and no sales representatives.
I want you to imagine a completely static world. A world where you can complete many tasks, but no matter how hard you work, you can NEVER CHANGE A THING.
This is only part one of this series of articles. It’s definitely not a subject that should be rushed in my opinion. Until the next installment, keep killing, keep grinding, and don’t waste your time playing games that don’t truly reward your efforts.

During a recent visit to my parent’s house I noticed a solid black briefcase on the kitchen table. I was curious as to what was inside. From it’s size, I thought it might be a laptop computer. My mom opened the briefcase to reveal several colorful tiles and game pieces. She informed me that it was her Mahjongg tile set. She plays this ancient Chinese game weekly with her friends.
I am a big fan of playing Mahjongg on the computer. I wondered if there were differences in the rules of my mom’s physical board game versus my computer game. There are many differences indeed, just as there are many versions of Mahjongg available. The board version is an intense game of strategy, logic, and planning. My mom plays with three other players and has to work with a partner. The computer version I play is basic in comparison as I just try to match tiles together to remove them from the Mahjongg tile pile.
What is the history of Mahjongg? Mahjongg is an ancient Chinese game that has a debatable origin. There are several theories as to who invented Mahjongg. Some believe that Mahjongg wasn’t invented until the middle of the 19th century. Believers of this origin maintain that Mahjongg was based on current Chinese card and domino games.
Others believe that Confucius invented the game around 500 BC. Confucius was known as a great Chinese philosopher. The theory that he started Mahjongg is based upon observation that game piece tiles and popularity relate to his philosophies and travels.
Mahjongg made its way to the United States by the early 20th century. The game was translated into English. In 1937 the National Mah Jongg League was created. The rules of Mahjongg were reviewed and revamped.
Who plays Mahjongg? Mahjongg has had a variety of players. The game requires four players and takes a few hours to play. Therefore, it is an ideal game for parties or special occasions. Players in China have played Mahjongg to celebrate life events.
When Mahjongg became popular in the United States it was primarily played by the Jewish population. Mahjongg is now making its way across all backgrounds and age levels. The physical tile game is familiar to the older generation while the computerized version is bringing in the younger generation.
How do you play Mahjongg? Good question. The answer is that it depends. There are basic rules, but rules tend to vary based on the geographic region. The main goal of the game is to find matching tile suits and complete the 14 to 17 tile set. There are rule books that cover the Western version of the game.
The Mahjongg game that my mom plays is closer to the ancient Chinese version then the computerized version I play. She enjoys the complexity and strategy of Mahjongg as well as the benefit of playing with her good friends.
Mahjongg is an exciting game to try whether you want to play with friends or on your own. I find playing the computer versions both entertaining and relaxing. Many games websites, such as Grandmatrix.com, have several PC versions of Mahjongg available. The different versions are akin to the variety of Mahjongg history, rules, and players around the world. Start your exploration of the Mahjongg variations by searching GrandMatrix under the keyword ‘Mahjongg’ and you will be well on your way to fun!

Most Need For Speed fans will know what I’m talking about when I refer to the most wanted game of 2005. The Need For Speed franchise has been reborn with the release of Need For Speed Most Wanted (NFSMW) on the 15th of November this year in the U.S. Fans could not stop talking about all the fantastic features of this game and the Internet was swarmed with headlines about this great title. But what is the buzz all about? What makes this title so exceptional? Take a quick tour with me and you will find out.
The main attraction of Need For Speed Most Wanted, is the return of the high speed, police chases that was introduced in the very first instalment of the series and perfected in Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. But the police chases is far more complicated that fans had become accustomed to in previous versions of the game. The cops are much more aggressive, more skilled and better equipped. Don’t think you can tune your ride to be the fastest and beat the police with speed, they have some serious stuff under the hood and skilled drivers behind the wheel.
Damage models also make a return. You can completely destroy a cop’s car while your own car can only be damaged visually by means of broken windows and damaged paint. Almost everything in the free roaming world can be destroyed and used to your advantage during a cop chase. Drive through a gas station, or remove the pillars of a shop’s roof and see what happens to the cops. The traffic models have also been improved and they are still as annoying as in all the other Need For Speed titles, but the game will not be so much fun without this annoyance factor. The surrounding world detail has also received huge attention. HDRR (High Dynamic Range Rendering) pushes the graphics to new heights and that is one of the main reasons why the game plays off during the day and not at night like in the Underground series.
The speed-breaker is a nice innovation of EA to help players control their cars during the high-speed chases. The speed-breaker is much like the bullet-time feature of games like Max Payne and Total Overdose. One thing that may disappoint fans is the fact that the customisation of the cars is much more limited than in the Underground series. You can only modify your spoiler, hood, roof scoops and window tinting. You can purchase complete body kits that will adjust your muffler tips, headlights, etc. automatically to fit in with the specific kit you chose. You can still paint your car, add vinyls, put decals on your ride and paint your rims (but not your brake callipers). Painting your car and changing its visual appearance is vital to your success in the game. This will help you evade the cops by bringing your heat level down after each visual upgrade, or change you make to your ride.
All your performance upgrades are still available in the game and you unlock more powerful upgrades as you progress through the game. The only limitation with performance upgrades is that you no longer can choose the brands of your parts, they are pre-selected with each upgrade. EA also dropped the fairly complicated tuning of Underground 2 and brought back the simple slider tuning that was introduced in earlier titles. You only move the relevant slider to the left or right to modify your car’s handling, steering speed, height, acceleration, down-force, top speed, braking, turbo and nitrous booster. This should be welcomed by gamers because they are no longer frustrated by hours complicated tuning to get the most out of their rides. The emphasis of this game is becoming the most notorious street racer and that is why EA shifted from the tuner theme to the cop-chase theme.
There are over 30 cars to choose from, including tuners, street-cars, muscle cars, sport models and exotics. Each and every car can be tuned and upgraded for maximum performance. You will find that cash is a limited resource and you need to upgrade and buy strategically. You also get the chance to win your rival’s car by winning his pink slip after each challenge. But before you can challenge a blacklist member you first need to achieve a number of race wins and milestones to build respect among the racers and prove you are worthy of racing against them.
The music continues the Underground attitude, but the high-speed cop-chases introduce a brand new innovation: interactive music. The interactive music gives the game a cinematic feel. The closer the cops get, the more dramatic the music becomes. When you evade the cops the music reaches a climax but returns to a dramatic tone as soon as a cop spots you again. The changes in music are very accurate and EA has done a great job in creating the right atmosphere during these lightning-speed chases.
There are so many other great features in this game, but mentioning them all in one article is just not practical. Need For Speed Most Wanted is a blend of all the great features of previous titles and more. Great graphics, a great storyline with great actors like Josie Maran, great music and great cars. All these factors make the game the Most Wanted game of the year.
