Hair Removal 101

Filed under: Gender Issues Info — admin @ 8:18 pm

Simple fact or a cruel joke, but as men age, they get less hair where they want it and more hair where they don’t. Excessive, patchy or ill-placed body hair can be the bane of any man; fortunately today’s average guy can add hair removal to his regular grooming routine. De-foresting options abound, the most popular of them are listed below:

Shaving
A centuries old process common to virtually every man on earth, hair removal is immediate, but grows back almost as quickly.

  • Pros: Inexpensive, convenient and non-invasive
  • Cons: Very short-term; razor burn, subject to ingrown hairs and bleeding
at the shaky hand of the fearful
  • Waxing
Hot wax is spread on, capturing the hair, when cool it is removed with a yank of a fabric strip. Cold wax or hard wax does not require the fabric strip and is best on shorter, thinner hair in smaller sensitive areas. Waxing is fast, efficient, immediate and provides longer term results than shaving.

  • Pros: Quick and cheap; lasts longer than shaving (3-4 weeks)
  • Cons: Messy, painful, also rashes or acne breakouts may occur
  • Electrolysis
An electrical current is emitted from a probe that is inserted into every hair follicle to permanently destroy the root. Electrolysis is the most effective process for removal of unwanted hair. Look for a certified and very experienced Electrologist when considering this option.

  • Pros: Permanent
  • Cons: Painful, expensive, time-consuming and results totally dependent
on the skill of your Electrologist
  • Laser Hair Removal
Lasers destroy hair follicles by targeting the melanin within. The light beam passes through skin into the hair while energy is transformed into heat disabling the hair follicle. This Procedure should only be performed by a licensed plastic surgeon, or dermatologist. Maintenance visits may be required.

  • Pros: Effective, faster and less painful than electrolysis; last 3-6 months
  • Cons: Expensive, potential burning or scarring, and once again must be
performed by a highly experienced professional
  • Intense Pulsed Light
This next generation of technology promises better results than lasers by using concentrated bursts of wide-spectrum, multidirectional light. The manufacturers claim it is suitable for a wide range of skin types and hair colors.

  • Pros: Effective; faster and more precise than lasers; near permanent
  • Cons: Very expensive, new technology, not available everywhere
  • Chemical Depilatories
If you can’t stand the thought of yanking your hair out by the roots, shocking or burning out your hair follicles, then depilatory creams and foams offer an alternative. Hair-removal creams are composed of acids that actually dissolve hair just below the surface, but the strong chemicals can irritate skin, especially if you leave the stuff on too long.

  • Pros: Quick, easy and cheap; not painful like waxing
  • Cons: Unpleasant odor to some; may cause skin irritation
  • Sugaring
An ancient method of hair removal that originated in Egypt; sugaring is an alternative to waxing for highly sensitive skin. A sugar paste is applied at body temperature and removed with cotton strips or directly with the hands.

  • Pros: All-natural, gentler on skin than waxing
  • Cons: Not effective on men’s beards
  • Threading
Another ancient hair-removal method still used widely throughout the Middle East to remove unwanted facial hair. 100% cotton thread is used to entwine the hair, which is lifted from the follicle. The practice, while not as common as other methods in the U.S., is effective and precise.

  • Pros: Great for those allergic to wax
  • Cons: Time-consuming and moderately painful removing more than
    a single strand of hair
  • Epilators
Early models used coils of wire that grabbed indiscriminately, and as subtly as a tractor. Newer models like the Silk-Epil use rows of tiny tweezers, which cause (relatively) less pain, and at least one model actually includes an ice-pack attachment to numb your targeted body parts.

  • Pros: Cleaner and quicker than shaving or waxing, can last for weeks
  • Cons: Can produce irritated skin, ingrown hairs and the sight of grown
    men crying
  • Only you can decide which process works best for you!

    Morning Sickness Survival Tips

Filed under: Gender Issues Info — admin @ 12:50 am

“Just eat a few saltines and you’ll be ok”.

I don’t know about you, but as someone who suffered with prolonged, severe morning sickness (which I affectionately call morning noon and night sickness), when I hear someone say this, I just want to slug them!

If you’re suffering with nausea and vomiting of pregnancy, you’re not alone. Most women experience it to some degree during their first trimester. If you’re one of the unfortunate few whose symptoms last longer than the typical 6-12 weeks, I empathize. I’ve had the same experience with all 4 of my pregnancies. I have learned a few things that helped however, and I hope you can get some relief with these tips.

    1) Getting your blood sugar regulated is priority #1.

One theory about why morning sickness is worse in the morning (and for some women only occurs then) is because when you wake up from sleep, you have low blood sugar. For some pregnant woman, going 8 hours without food is just a bad idea.

You might find it helpful to eat a high protein snack before bed, and even to eat a bite each time you get up in the night to go to the bathroom. (Which in the beginning may be quite frequent!)

Personally, I found that what I did first thing in the morning was of paramount importance. I had to eat a few bites of food *while still lying down*. So I either put some food on a plate beside my bed or asked my husband bring me a snack first thing in the morning.

Don’t jump out of bed. Eat your snack slowly and lie still for a few minutes afterwards. Then slowly get up and immediately go to the kitchen and eat another bite. Again, emphasize protein.

    2) Avoid foods that cause rapid blood sugar shifts.

Fruit juice, sugary snacks, processed cereal (the kind that comes in a box), anything made with white flour, etc…these types of foods cause your blood sugar to rapidly rise then come crashing down, triggering nausea and vomiting. Eat protein foods and whole foods.

Meat, cheese, yogurt (be careful here- try plain yogurt with frozen berries mixed in. Most yogurt has way too much sugar in it.), eggs, nuts, nut butters, veggies, and whole grains should be your staples.

Even if eating doesn’t appeal to you, coaxing yourself to eat a little bit of a protein food every 2 hours will help prevent vomiting. Don’t leave the house without carrying a snack with you.

    3) If drinking water makes you sicker, try these alternatives.

It’s very important that you stay hydrated. You’re going to need extra fluids to support the pregnancy, but many women find that drinking water makes them more nauseated. Some things to try:

Smoothies made with fruit, ice and plain yogurt or kefir. The tangy flavor of these two dairy products really hit the spot for me. They also sneak in some extra protein.

Water served VERY cold with a squeeze of lemon or lime.

Carbonated water with a small amount of fruit juice for flavor.

Weakly brewed iced or hot tea with lemon. The small bit of caffeine won’t harm your baby. Something about the bitter tannins in tea may help ease nausea.

    Citrus fruits and melons.

    4) Avoid nausea triggers as much as possible.

Your nose is on hyperdrive during early pregnancy!

Stinky smells like poopy diapers, kitchen trash, even morning breath may be impossible to totally avoid, but try your best to avoid smelly situations.

Have someone else take out the trash. Have hubby change your toddler when he’s home. It’s the least he can do!

And don’t be shy about telling someone who has bad breath, noxious perfume or cigarette smells on them that you’re in a delicate condition and need some fresh air. During my pregnancies, my husband had to switch to unscented deodorant and soap, otherwise I couldn’t hug him!

If cooking smells make you ill, take a break from your usual garlic and onion specialties. Don’t be a martyr. Hubby will understand that you can’t make his favorite sausage and peppers for a while.

Prepare meals that won’t stink up the kitchen. Green main dish salads with cold, cut up chicken, steak or hard boiled eggs. Sandwiches are good too.

    5) Try Aromatherapy

Put a couple of drops of lavender, mint or lemon essential oil (these oils are generally regarded as safe to use during pregnancy) on cotton balls and keep these in various locations… the kitchen, bathroom, your purse and in the car. Take a whiff when you feel sick. Put a few drops on your pillow.

    6) Take it easy- but don’t forget exercise

I know, I know… exercise is the last thing you want to do when you can hardly get your face out of the toilet! But if you force yourself to take even a ten minute walk outside every day, it WILL help.

But do try to take it easy, avoid stress as much as possible, and rest as much as you can. You’re doing the very important job of growing a baby. Explain to your other children why you’re feeling poorly and that it won’t last forever. Call in favors and ask friends to come over to play with your 2 year old for an hour so you can sleep, or ask them to cook extra when they make dinner tonight and bring you a dish.

When you feel a bout of nausea coming on, try to lay down for a few minutes in a dark room with your eyes closed. Sometimes if you do this the episode will pass.

    7) Focus on the positive

Sometimes when you’re so miserable it’s easy to forget what’s making you so sick! Remember that statistically, women who experience nausea and vomiting of pregnancy are more likely to carry the pregnancy to term.

One of my midwives told me that she always worries when a Mom comes in for her first prenatal feeling wonderful…the chances of her miscarrying are higher.

So rejoice in your strong hormones! Read pregnancy magazines, birth stories on the Internet, look through maternity clothing catalogs, do whatever you need to do to cheer yourself up and get yourself in the mood for a new baby.

    8) More Misc. Tips

Try eating candied ginger or sipping ginger tea. I found ginger in capsules to be too harsh and they hurt terribly if they did come back up.

Brewer’s yeast capsules work for some Moms.

Try sucking on lemon slices when you’re feeling a wave of nausea.

Sip mint tea or chew mint gum to help dry up excessive salivating that may trigger nausea.

If you have trouble brushing your teeth due to an overactive gag reflex, switch to using baking soda for awhile. The foaming of regular toothpaste may be too much. And brush your teeth in shifts if you need to… first the top teeth, then a few minutes later the bottom teeth, then your tongue, etc.

Avoid getting overheated or chilled. Extremes in temperature can trigger vomiting.

Try Sea-Bands, available at large drug stores. They’re designed for motion sickness but helps some pregnant women.

Go with your cravings, within reason. For some reason, pizza and Taco Bell always hit the spot during my pregnancies.

Clean the toilet daily, even if it’s the only household chore you can do right now. Better yet, have someone else do it. And wear your hair up for awhile. If you’re going to be throwing up, at least you will have your hair out of the way and a clean bowl to hug!

Fitness, Stretching & Exercise Selection For Women

Filed under: Gender Issues Info — admin @ 12:39 pm

Fitness, Stretching & Exercise Selection For Women By Phil
Beckett Copyright © Physique Concepts Inc.

In addition to stretching the muscles involved in cardiovascular
exercise, you need to stretch each specific muscle you train in
    a fitness program.

When you stretch your muscles it helps to provide better
physical performance, prevents injuries, and can help to improve
    your posture.

When muscles are stretched, the elasticity in them improves
which will help to increase your range of motion and improve the
    quality of your movements.

Never stretch a cold muscle; meaning you should always make sure
your muscles are warm before stretching. It’s usually better to
do a more extensive stretch at the very end of your fitness
program, but light stretching between exercises is fine.

Stretching doesn’t take a long time, and it shouldn’t, but you
    do benefit tremendously from it.

Stretch only after the muscle has been properly warmed-up.
Again, the best time for a complete stretch is when your
    exercise session has been completed.

By the time you have finished your specific weight lifting
program, which will be about 35 - 45 minutes in length, your
muscles will have warmed up as much as they can possibly get.

Remember any womens fitness program must always include a
warm-up and proper stretching for maximum effectiveness and to
    prevent injury.

When you do this you will indeed experience the terrific
benefits a good weight training program will give you.

    Exercise Selection:

For you to succeed in your over-all womens fitness plan you need
to select at least one exercise for each major muscle group in
your body. This will help to promote well-balanced muscle
    development.

Another important part of your over-all fitness plan is the
order your exercises are performed. When doing a range of
weightlifting exercises, it’s better to start with the larger
muscle groups then perform exercises for the smaller muscle
    groups.

Performing your fitness program in this manner will allow you to
be exercising at your best during the most demanding exercises
when fatigue levels are the lowest and you feel fresh.

Another important area of exercise selection is the total number
of sets per exercise and total number of sets per exercise
    session.

A “set” as it relates to womens fitness is the number of
successive repetitions of a single exercise performed in
    succession without stopping.

Now the number of sets per exercise and per exercise session is
really going to depend on exactly what your goals are.

Always treat your very first set for each muscle group as a
warm-up, as was discussed in the warm-up section above.

Then the rest of your sets will be determined by whether or not
you are using a beginner, intermediate, or advanced level womens
fitness program and what your particular goals are.

To find out more about how to determine sets, exercises, etc.
    you can visit:

    http://www.womens-health-fitness.com/womens-fitness.html

Regardless of the number of sets performed, all sets and
repetitions have to be done with proper exercise form and under
    complete control.

    Exercise Form Or Technique:

One thing that always seems to be missing in most womens fitness
programs, and the most common and critical training mistake is
    exercise form or “technique.”

Too much weight usually results in poor form, which decreases
your ability to get results and also increases the risk of
    injury.

Examples of poor form or technique include, but aren’t limited
    too…

    - Bouncing the bar off your chest when performing a chest press;

    - Using your hips for momentum and over extending your back to
    initiate the bicep curls;

    - Arching your back or bending backwards when performing a
shoulder press during the resistance portion of your fitness
    session;

    - Using momentum in any exercise;

    - And training at a fast tempo.

Be aware of these types of mistakes and remove them.

All I have is a Shirt

I have nothing. No dream chteaux with Ferraris parked in front.
No chauffeur driven May Bach, an office on wheels with a bar.
Neither do I dress to work in a ten thousand dollar Armani suit,
though I wish I could, looking like the men who model them in
fashion magazines, clean shaven, their features square.

All I have is a shirt.

I am not the owner of a fat Swiss bank account from which to buy
you as a treat a diamond studded brooch. Neither am I the lucky

The question lies far from our imagining powers. But, YES! That’s true the miraculous pill is in the market for you to explore the real zenith, the true bliss of a romantic, passionate relationship.

Sildenafil, sold under the name Viagra is a drug used to treat male erectile dysfunction (impotence). “Erectile Dysfunction” means the inability to achieve erection, an inconsistent ability to do so, or the ability to achieve only brief erections.

Part of the physiological process of erection involves the parasympathetic nervous system causing the release of nitric oxide (NO) in the corpus cavernosum of the penis. NO binds to the receptors of the enzyme guanylate cyclase which results in increased levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), leading to smooth muscle relaxation, resulting in increased inflow of blood and an erection.

Sildenafil is a potent and selective inhibitor of cGMP specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) which is responsible for degradation of cGMP in the corpus cavernosum. The molecular structure of sildenafil is similar to that of cGMP and acts as a competitive binding agent of cGMP in the corpus cavernosum, resulting in better erections. Other drugs that operate by the same mechanism include tadalafil (Cialis®) and vardenafil.

As with all prescription drugs, proper dosage is at the discretion of a licensed medical doctor. It is usually recommended to start with a dosage of 50 mg and then lower or raise the dosage as appropriate. The drug is sold in three dosages (25, 50, and 100 mg).

Amongst sildenafil’s serious adverse effects are: priapism, severe hypotension, myocardial infarction, ventricular arrhythmias, sudden death, stroke and increased intraocular pressure. Common side effects include sneezing, headache, flushing, dyspepsia, prolonged erections, palpitations and photophobia. Visual changes including blurring of vision and a curious bluish tinge have also been reported. So, what are you thinking now? All search, thinking ends with viagra. Here, you have a new, easy and comfortable means to add on that extra energy, vitality and thrill to your romance.

G Spot Positions: Three Favorite Sex Positions to Hit the G Spot

Filed under: Gender Issues Info — admin @ 9:41 am

I read the other day that the majority of American’s regularly
have sex in just a few positions. Well, if that’s true, its time
to shake things up! This article is on g spot positions.
These are our favorite ways of hitting the g-spot during sex.

If you like boring, normal sex, that lasts just 5 - 10 minutes,
don’t read this page. If you’re feeling more adventurous,
and are ready to blow your mind then please, proceed!

So, the first step in hitting your g spot during sex is to know
where it is! For a refresher course, check out this page on the
    g
spot location. You also may want to try a
finding the g spot exercise first.

    >From here on, we’re going to assume that you (and your partner)
know where your g-spot is, and how to best stimulate it to give
    you pleasure.

Now that that’s all taken care of - lets focus on g spot
positions. The first step is to recognize that the g spot, or g
spot area, is small and not always in the same place. So,
throughout your sex you’ll both need to be communicating. What
works, what feels good, what doesn’t, a little to the right, a
    little to the left, etc.

In the beginning, as you explore different g spot positions, its
likely best if you agree not to have orgasms. We’ve found
this makes it easy to have a sense of exploration and play.

And, without further delay, here are our three favorite g spot
    positions. Enjoy!

Ride ‘Em Cowboy (Woman on Top)

I have to say there’s something so sexy about a woman being on
top, in charge of finding what feels the best. Really,
this position is ideal because it allows the woman to control
the depth, intensity, and speed. It gives you the ability to
play, and explore, and notice how much more pleasure comes from
    subtle differences.

As you are on top, experiment with what feel’s best to you.
Move, shift, tell your partner what feel’s good, rock back and
forth, take it deep, keep it shallow, etc. This will likely work
best if you are already aroused and hot. (This is true with all
    these g spot positions)

Now, as the guy in this position, you’re not just laying back
passively (thought that is fine to do - just not now!). What
will help your partner most is if you tilt your pelvis as
much as possible. The more you can do this, the better.

    You’ll also get a great workout! : )

Unfortunately, if you are anything like me, you’ll get super
tired super quick. In the beginning we used to use alot of
pillows to try to angle my hips. Lately, we’ve really been
enjoying something called the wedge, its a liberator shape. This
small shape puts your pelvis in the perfect tilted position
without you having to do any work.

I know it sounds crazy, but the small, subtle positioning this
enables, makes all the difference. If you want to find out more
about liberator shapes, their website is www.liberatorshapes.com
    .

Doggy Style (Crouching, Man Coming from Behind)

This is one of our favorite g spot positions. Not only do you
have great g-spot access, but there’s just something so
primal andsexy about *&#*! from behind.

Now, guys, in this position you can take it easy and let her do
all the work. In this case, ladies, use your thighs to press
back and find the depth, thrust style, and position that works
    best for you.

However, guys, if you want to be more active, you can easily
adapt this position. Push your woman down, and lay more
on top of her (still coming in from behind)

Now, for the best g spot stimulation, position your legs outside
of hers and put more of your weight forward, so you are
    riding her from up higher.

This puts your penis on more of a downward angle, and helps you
hit her g-spot more directly. You can also experiment with
having her legs more open, or more closed to see what feels best.

We’ve also been using the liberator shape - the wedge - in this
position too. We found if we put that underneath my girlfriend,
it gives her hips a particular tilt that totally amp things up.

Your Highness (Man Kneeling or Standing, Woman’s Legs on
    His Shoulders)

We love this sex position. With many g spot positions you can’t
look each other in the eyes. With this one, we recommend it.
Also, when you want to hit the g spot, having your legs high and
wide is the secret ingredient. Sometimes putting your
feet on your partner’s shoulders can be the most comfortable
    (its also just super sexy!)

Now, you can do this position in lots of ways. You can do it off
your sofa, a chair, or your coffee table (we won’t tell!). Or,
you can modify it to work off your bed by kneeling vs standing.
The only real key to this position is that your partner is
angled upward, with her legs spread wide or on your
    shoulders
. You can achieve this combination in lots of
    different ways (be creative!)

Well, these are our three favorite g spot positions, and I hope
you try them out and enjoy!

    Vimax Review

Filed under: Gender Issues Info — admin @ 1:10 am

Ok there’s no shame in it by now, you want to lengthen your penis and you think Vimax might be the way to do it. Here is a review that covers some of the main concerns about penis enlargement in general and in particular the use of Vimax.

    Do penis enlargement treatments work

Basically in terms of penis enlargement there are 3 main methods that are popular.

    1. Surgery
    2. Extension equipment
    3. Oral treatment in the way of pills and supplements.

Surgery obviously has guaranteed results but is far too scary and expensive for most of us. What most of us want to know is whether non surgical methods can actually work with any level of consistency.

Both extention products and supplements/pills like Vimax have been shown to have success in increasing the length and girth of the average male penis. While you will see some hyperbole with some subjects gaining inches in just weeks the average gainer is shown to grow between 1 and 4 inches over a four month period of taking Vimax. Unfortunately some people achieve no results at all but there are specific things you can do to ensure you are not at that end of the scale.

These tests have spanned some years and thousands of subjects before the products being released to the market and can usually be further verified with visual evidence from satisfied users being displayed in the promotional material on the web.

So in short, to the question of do these supplements work, the answer is Yes. Not always and not for everyone but, yes they are successful in increasing penis size and girth considerably.

    Is it safe?

Thankfully being a natural supplement Vimax has no side effects. All ingredients are herbal, naturally occuring substances that have not been modified in any way in the production process. In fact some of the substances already exist in the human body and Vimax simply works to increase their release or better their circulation through the body.

How long will it take me to see results?

Unlike some of the exaggerated stories you might hear it generally takes a full course of 3-4 months to achieve maximum results. You will first notice increases in girth and ‘hang’ around 3-4 weeks. From 4-8 weeks you will see more gains in length and notice stronger more powerful erections and from weeks 8-16 you will notice more of the same up until the penis reaches its genetic limit.

How long must I take Vimax for?

Only until you receive the results you desire. There is no minimum or maximum timeframe. Since results are permanent, you can stop when you reach your ideal goal size.

    How much does it cost?

Generally Vimax will set you back around $59 per bottle with discounts for ordering in larger quantities. Reputable companies will offer a money back guarantee so that there is no risk to the purchaser and they may return the product if not happy with the results.

I hope this has further educated you to the pros and cons of Vimax. Ultimately, remember that there is nothing you can’t change. If you want to make a difference to your manhood and your sex life, a reliable option like Vimax is certainly there.

Gary Stephens runs an informational website on male enhancement products and endorses Vimax as the ultimate solution for penile enhancement. For more information on Vimax please see http://www.vimaxsolution.com.

Taking PreCautions: Lessons on Protection Strategies for the 21st Century from Genuine Bussey Sty

Filed under: Gender Issues Info — admin @ 2:31 pm

“What is defense? It is a countermeasure to aggression, an act
of protection from danger”. -Robert Anthony Bussey

More than ever, women are afraid for their safety and are taking
measures to conquer their fears against the mounting problem of
abuse and hostile threat. For over a quarter of a century, I’ve
had the privilege of helping thousands of women to feel
empowered by learning personal protection skills. In that time,
I’ve been exposed to countless first hand accounts of some very
emotional stories of violence, distress, rape, and life
threatening survival. To look into the eyes of a person who’s
been victimized reminds me all too well of the awesome
responsibility that every expert has to share only those methods
that could guide an individual from a potentially brutal
situation to a place of physical and emotional safety. To feel
prepared and safe requires some work.

For females especially, training should encompass more than
vital combat strategies, to include danger awareness skills and
a devotion to safeguards. I am a strong advocate of programming
the kinds of responses that deflect any possibility of physical
contact. This is the best way to prevent injury and the most
important skill a person can learn to remain free from harm.
There are just too many dangers and variables in combat.
“PreCautions”, a Genuine Bussey Style protection program for
women was titled as such because its name reflects my
determination to limit the arena of hands-on conflict. Of
course, we all know that there are no guarantees that violence
won’t occur; therefore, protective tools must be in place. These
tools need to be effective, direct, and immediately useful or
the victim runs the risk of making things worse by trying to
defend herself with techniques that won’t hold up. In its truest
form, fighting is not secret, nor particularly complex.

I would like to share some thoughts, which come from our
“Principals of Protection Intelligence for Women”. When I
formulated them, I asked myself what was really important for
ladies to know before introducing them to actual defensive
tactics. What would I say to my daughter or loved one about
building a foundation that made sense and was easy to apply and
remember? These are a few of them:

Violent crime is everywhere, happening every minute. It’s
random, and it can happen to you. The world is a violent
shelling that can change life in an instant. Believe it.

Danger recognition skills help to reduce vulnerability. You can
expect to prevent some threats by listening closely to your gut
instincts and increasing your awareness of danger. With
practice, these instincts will get better and better, helping
you perceive and define danger. We’ve all had a ‘gut feeling’
about a certain person or situation. The way to sharpen this
into a tool of defense is to acknowledge it as a helpful message
and to realize that whatever emotions you may be feeling could
be there for a reason. Without always assuming the worst or
jumping to conclusions, we need to take as much time as the
situation will allow to “observe” and “clarify” what is really
going on. This will offer you an opportunity to guide your next
    move.

There is an invisible line that separates your fight or flight
response. When faced with a life threatening encounter, this
will be activated naturally in order to insure your survival. At
the critical moment when the assailant crosses that line, you
will need to commit to making split decisions. The choice to
fight back may be inevitable. At that point, you must fight with
everything you have to break any control the assailant has over
you, then escape. The key to feeling better about your chances
to pull this off is to prepare yourself physically and adopt
simple yet powerful skills. Strikes such as the palm strike,
elbow, and knee are common to martial arts and self-defense.
However, in order to best perform these skills, you need to
utilize what I call “hidden motion”, that is, to hide behind
every strike, block, and motion. This will help shield you from
flailing strikes that can occur simultaneously when it’s them
    against you.

Making the choice to either fight back or to run away can feel
risky to you. You may feel afraid to try either one. However,
the consequences of doing nothing are serious indeed. Fear will
exist in extreme situations and can limit your capabilities
unless you incorporate it into a mind-set that allows you to
exceed its paralyzing force. Do not let fear or panic control
you. Instead, let your fear and adrenaline motivate action.

The best timing you can have is when the opponent doesn’t see it
coming. Surprise attacks instill fear and confusion. If your
assailant takes you by surprise, remain as calm as possible and
take a quick assessment of the facts. This may require that you
be thinking one thing and physically performing another.

Mistakes are inevitable because combat is continuous and
ongoing. Fighting is not static or choreographed. Surviving an
encounter often requires adaptability. So, prepare your mind and
body to act, using whatever it takes, for however long it takes,
to remain alive. If something isn’t working, move on. Ride out
any unsuccessful maneuvers without seizing up or panicking.

You cannot always control your surroundings or what is happening
to you, so you must control your actions. Guide yourself through
the crisis by going with the current as opposed to fighting it,
until you can reach the shore. Sometimes, you can expect this
process to be painful. Tell yourself ahead of time that, no
matter how badly it might hurt, that you will never, never give
up. This endurance mindset can save your life. To survive is not
a matter of conquering, but of enduring. It is to outlast a
given situation. In a word, persevere!

Serious conflict has a way of releasing in you a heightened
sense of awareness. Yet it is possible that your energy may
become misdirected and lead to a failed performance. By keeping
energy in reserve (what I call the 90% Rule), you can maintain
this heightened state and remain alert so that opportunities are
not overlooked. If you strike a pad with 100% of your energy,
then hit it again using only 90%, it would be very hard to tell
the difference. In fact, a 90% energy strike is often more
relaxed, powerful, and quick. Marshal your resources or no
matter how skilled, you’ll be defeated due to lack. Conflict,
like many things in this world, contains a unique rhythm.
Experts that find rhythm can pace themselves without haste and
    miscalculation.

Life itself is simplified in dangerous circumstances making
less, enough. Anyone who has experienced and survived a
life-threatening event can tell you what is really important in
this world. If you can envision for a moment, what it must be
like to be close to the edge of life and death, it is easy to
see how ones priorities can change. The survivor is keenly aware
of the possibility of a traumatic attack and the need to take
precautions. In the end, every effort you make to discipline
your physical and emotional reflexes will help to hone your
    intuition and keep you whole.

Circumcision – Is it Ever Necessary?

Filed under: Gender Issues Info — admin @ 12:47 pm

I had the privilege of listening to a very interesting lecture at a holistic event about something I never really thought about, the practice of circumcision on male babies in the U.S. I learned that doctors do this on a routine basis, charging anywhere between $150 and $300 per male baby to not only remove a large part of his penis, but do it in an inhumane way. The doctors generally reassure parents that this is the way to go, for cleanliness or the prevention of disease.

Now, I don’t believe a mistake was made when man was created, do you? Even if one doesn’t believe in creation, nature just doesn’t repeatedly make what doctors are considering to be faults in baby boys that must be fixed. I understand that those of the Jewish faith regularly circumcise the male child but according to what I have learned, they only remove a very small portion of the foreskin at the tip of the glans. Doctors in the U.S. remove the whole thing which is a lot of skin and amounts to approximately the size of a 3 x 5 inch index card in an adult male! Many times they accidentally remove even more skin than this and boys grow up with either painful erections or their erections are bent because the skin is stretched too tight. Both men and women usually believe that’s just the way some penises look and never question it. There can be other complications also. Circumcised males grow up never knowing that they lost a natural function of the penis and lost a great amount of sexual pleasure.

Females are born with the same exact thing as males have, a foreskin called a prepuce and the same smega, which is just some dead skin. In the U.S., it would never cross the doctor’s or parent’s mind to cut off part of their baby girl’s genitals for cleanliness. It just doesn’t happen. Some countries today practice circumcising and castrating female babies but cleanliness is certainly not the reason. I believe this practice is abhorrent and something needs to be done now to end it. During the lecture, the speaker said Clinton made circumcising female babies illegal in the U.S.

I heard and read about how the babies are circumcised in this country. Their arms and legs are strapped down to a restraint board and during the procedure, they scream in pain and terror. This makes my heart go out to all male babies in this country and elsewhere where this is practiced. I learned that only until recently in the U.S. did doctors begin using some kind of anesthetic for the baby but this is not a common practice.

What a way to come into the world! So I wonder, what affect does this practice have on males about themselves and their self-worth? How has this traumatic experience manifested in the male’s life while growing up and as a man? And why is this still being practiced in America?

Fortunately, there is light at the end of the tunnel. The lecturer gave me a book written by Thomas J. Ritter, M.D. and George C. Denniston, M.D. called, “Doctors Re-examine Circumcision”. It seems that many physicians around the U.S. are now speaking out against circumcision.

“The United States is the only country in the entire world that routinely circumcises most of its newborn males for other than religious reasons.” [p. 16-1]

It contains pictures and diagrams of circumcision procedures, including pictures of mistakes with the procedure, resulting in a deformed penis or no penis at all. In the event of an accidental, complete amputation of the penis, which apparently happens, the doctor would just create a vagina. The book also has pictures of what a penis is really supposed to look like and all of the benefits an natural, uncircumcised penis has. It examines the many myths people have been told over the years of why circumcision is “necessary”.

“What moral or legal right does any parent have to remove a valuable and normal segment of another human being’s body?” Would it be moral or legal to remove the tip of every male’s left little finger, or to knock out a front tooth, because it was fashionable and everyone else was doing it?” [p. 13-1]

The good news is that there is a movement of circumcised men around the country to grow their foreskins back! A man is actually able to regain a large amount of sensitivity after growing back what was taken from in the first place, without his consent. Our bodies are truly miraculous! More information is available in a book called, “The Joy of Uncircumcising: Restore Your Birthright and Maximize Sexual Pleasure” by Jim Bigelow, Ph.D. There is also a website called, Restore Yourself! A Handy Kit for Circumcised Men at:

    http://www.restoreyourself.com

Here is a quote from this website:

“You should feel increased sexual sensitivity on the glans of your penis within 30 days. It may take three months to see new skin. Within nine months, you will probably find that you can use your new skin to stimulate your glans.”

Since the lecture, I’ve shared this information with many men and women. I believe the more we examine and talk about this practice of circumcision, the more something can be done about ending it, not only in the U.S. but throughout the world.

Is It Worth Buying Replica Handbags?

Filed under: Gender Issues Info — admin @ 10:26 am

Not everybody is lucky to own designer handbags, but they do
want to follow the trend and look fashionable. What they did is
then finding some replica handbags. Well, with much cheaper
price, sometimes you cannot look the difference between
authentic and replica handbags. Even a professional has trouble
telling the difference because they are now good.

Is it worth it buying replica handbags? Probably yes for those
who can’t afford the real thing because you get what you wanted
and can save hundreds of dollars. But you must know that
according to the International Anti Counterfeiting Coalition
(IACC) buying replica is the same as robbing the U.S. of more
than $200 billion a year. This kind of business is not
legitimate. Of course there are other more things, include the
safety and the connection with terrorists, gangs and organized
crime syndicates. Sure you don’t want this to happen.

Things You Should Know about Replica Handbags

So, here is a clue to help you finding the real thing, not the
replica handbags. Well, this is not a recommendation that you
must buy branded designer handbags, but only a way to help you
identified which one is replica and not. Check it out!

    - When you see the price of the handbags are much lower than you
have seen before, that mean its replica handbags.

    - See where the tag is coming from; if it said “Made in Taiwan”,
    that’s definitely not real.

    - Where it’s being sold. Authorized dealers for Chanel, Louis
Vuitton, etc. do not sell handbags out of the trunk of a car.

    - If you walk down to Los Angeles’ Santee Street and New York’s
Canal Street, you can see replica handbags available on the
    street.

    - Replica handbags can be recognized through its flimsy
hardware, cheap leather and misspelled logos were a giveaway.

If you know that, how are you going to decide? Your decision is
in your hand! You can buy either replica handbags or the real
one, all depend on you. But if you want to know more, just look
inside the Internet to find more information about replica and
authentic designer handbags. Hope you will decide which the best
    is for you.
