Do You Play in 3-D?

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

I am sure that you know the answer to the question that served as the title for this article. Sure you play in 3-D, because you play real life games in brick and mortar casinos. While it is good that you are keeping the classic poker experience alive, that’s not what I am talking about. I am talking about the newest technological wave to hit the online poker online world. Online players now have the option to use player interfaces that replicated the poker experience in 3-D on their desktop. This technological advance has both pros and cons. The pro being, obviously that some poker online players will now be able to experience the 3-D poker game that they never would have otherwise been able to. The flaw of this plan of course is that there is now almost no reason to actually make the voyage to a brick and mortar casino. If you can get the same experience sitting at home in your pajamas, wouldn’t that be better than driving to the casino? I predict that many people will realize that it is just not worth the effort of putting on pants in the morning to play the exact same game. Expect less crowds and more empty spaces at your favorite brick and mortar.

Hand Analysis: 7-Ace

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

Ace seven is often the first level of ace with kicker that people begin to induct into their play. Whereas ace six just looks paltry, something about the way the ace and seven go together is a big notch above the rest. You’ll see this online poker hand pop up quite a bit more often in show down than you will with its weaker ace and kickers, though at the end of the day the seven isn’t much to write home about either.

When an ace hits the board and you get action, particularly in a hand against an online poker opponent who raised preflop, you simply aren’t going to be ahead very often with a seven kicker, unless you happen to also pair it. Once an ace hits, players who can’t beat an ace with a kicker ten or bigger tend to slow down and either just try to see the river and showdown, or they jet (unless they are really just that wild and hopeful). You might be able to bet your hand and see the table fold with an ace seven, but when you get action, and especially if there are no draws on board, you are probably behind.

You can play ace seven if you have to, if you are getting odds, but please tread lightly, and more likely you should fold. Remember this when you play poker online.

Kids and Imagination

Saturday, February 7th, 2009

If you have ever witnessed a child playing with an imaginary friend you really should take a step back and think about what is going on. The mind is very neat, and when we are older we often get caught up in the things that we view as very important and forget about our imagination. If this happens to you it could go back to your childhood years and not having enough time in the imagination realm.

It is kind of strange when a kid is spending all day long with an invisible person. You might want to tell them that there is no one there, but you shouldn’t. This is a great time for your kid to work on their communication. They get to make up and communicate the way that they want too, and this is very healthy. It is a good idea to go along with it, maybe even ask if they would like an extra chair at the dinner table for them. You could even talk to their imaginary friend to let your kid know that you support them and believe in them.

Taking care of kids takes a lot of work and consistency. To keep up and do the best job that you are capable of, take care of yourself. The better that you take care of yourself then you will be able to perform at your peak. This means eating healthy, sleeping, exercising, you could use Acceletrim’s diet product to help keep y our energy levels up through this, and it also means healthy relationships. Kids watch what is going on around them and if you are doing great things with your time, then they will be more likely to find happiness and joy in this lifetime.
