In my view gaming notebooks have lost their once sustained specialist status. I can think back to when they were not so available. Even though they weren’t good sellers they did have big margins. Regardless of that people most likely wanted one. They the the latest technology and basically the best laptop computers. Although they did get everybody excited I do not believe they sold in volumes because few people actually buy laptop computers that are that pricey. The primary manufacturers have recently set about taking advantage of large opportunities in gaming notebooks, so that is all shifting. These laptop computers have a certain price range and these manufacturers know they do not have to be price aggressively in this sector. As the profit margins on mainstream laptops have become so small, creating specialized gaming laptop computers is one tactic to regain a higher gross markup. This was in fact the last sector left where prospects would buy laptop computers from littler manufacturers. I’m quite sure that smaller retailers will have to reduce their prices in order to compete. I know for a fact that laptops for gaming will become more affordable for people. In addition the well known brand name will give consumers more confidence.
The laptops being launched by branded manufacturers are all vieing for the best laptop computer title. This is possibly the remaining service that local competitors can offer that the larger manufacturers cannot. Customising the spec is a process all the techies prefer. Such buyers are typically tech savvy and can consider all the fine information. In a few cases the specs are far more important than the looks for particular types of consumers.
This will be rather beneficial from the consumers position. The competitiveness between the established manufacturers should drive prices down as they seek to distinguish from one another. I write that quite hesitatingly though as the laptops business is a pretty fast changing area. Mobile technology is continuously getting better and the new units should always be expensive on release. Seeing as the established brand manufacturers have already begun marketing gaming laptop computers, I suppose we will have to wait to see what develops.
I believe this place (http://www.rizeon.com) are quite inexpensive for the specs they are selling.

There are literally thousands of web hosting providers offering hundreds of solutions for businesses owners worldwide. However, choosing the right web hosting provider and having a clear understanding of what level of service your business requires can be a daunting task.
Many people think that all web hosts offer the same level of service within a certain price point. This could not be further from the truth. Fundamentally web hosting is web hosting but when you compare apples to apples you will find a broad range of differences that may or may not be a detriment to your business. Surprisingly the same web host provider that charges $5/month may have a direct competitor that charges $10/month for a comparable service plan. Below are 3 simple steps to help you determine what provider will best fit for your needs and where to find them.
1. Determine Your Price Point
Let’s face it; the bottom line is usually at the top of the list, which is price. You can spend anywhere from a few dollars a month to a few hundred depending on your needs. Only you can determine your budget and what you are willing to spend so the best bet is to choose a realistic middle ground on price and then begin shopping. A great place to start is CompareWebHosts.comThis is a very well known and established web hosting directory which lists many reputable web hosting companies. On this directory as well as many others like them you will find providers offering shared and dedicated hosting solutions. It is important to clarify and understand the differences between the two. Typically shared web hosting is more inexpensive than dedicated hosting. Shared web hosting can be compared to apartment living. You have a large building split up into many small rooms. All of the rooms share the same pluming, electricity, etc. In other words, all of the tenants share resources which makes doing business considerably more affordable for you and the provider because you share the web server and it’s resources with several hundred other accounts. Consequently a large percentage of individuals and businesses start out with shared hosting due to this fact. Shared web hosting has become much more sophisticated and reliable over the years. As a result of this thousands of businesses have benefited from a comfortable middle ground on price and reliability, which can be a win-win for everyone. Shared web hosting prices usually range from $5-$30/month on average. Dedicated hosting can be compared to owning your own home. No one else lives in that home accept you. You have all of the resources at your disposal. Therefore you control the performance of your web server based on the resources that your web site requires and not hundreds of other web sites along with yours as is the case in shared hosting. This type of hosting varies greatly in price as well but typically you can expect to pay any where from $99/month in upwards of $300-$400/month. The obvious benefit here is that your hosting reliability factor increases greatly as well as the control of your content and customization.
2. Determine Your Needs
What do you need? In other words, what are your requirements from your perspective web host and what are your expectations in relation to your budget? Web hosting in general has become much more affordable and competitive over the last few years but you should ask yourself some fundamental questions first. Do you require your web site to be available 24/7/365 100% all the time or can you / your business live with a modest 99.9% up-time which is normally the industry standard for a much lower price point then a higher end SLA (Service Level Agreement) from a more expensive provider. What level of support do you need or expect? Will you require 24/7/365 phone support for technical and sales assistance or will email and or ticketing system be sufficient? Another important aspect but highly overlooked is the issue of potential data loss. Make sure that the web host you choose offers back up / restore services or perhaps at least an option to ad it or make it available at an additional cost. Many people take this for granted that it is automatic but unless you see it advertised or offered in some form or fashion on the providers plan description do not assume that it is being done. You should also consider the number of email accounts and databases you may require. If you have employees they will most likely need individual email accounts for interoffice and external communication. If you plan on running an e-commerce shopping cart or a community forum of any kind you will need one or more databases. Make sure to clarify that this is an option through whichever provider you choose and if there are additional charges. Typically email accounts are standard but many hosts do charge extra for databases and or limit both depending on their business model. Last but not least how much disk space and data transfer will you need? These days disk space and data transfer have become commodities and are relative, meaning they are extremely affordable to provide to you the customer. Performance, features, reliability, and customer service are what your dollars and cents are paying for so when it comes to the later if you know that your web site is going to be very graphic intensive and you anticipate growing a large database for what ever reason it does not hurt to have as much disk space and data transfer that your money will buy depending on your budget constraints. Even if you do not use it all at first you may very well grow into it and it will be there when and if you do need it.
3. Do Your Homework
So you have done your homework on steps 1 & 2 now its time to switch to research mode. Once you have narrowed your web hosting needs and price points its time to do a little digging on your perspective providers. Your research should begin on the providers own web site. Most companies have an “about us” page which may provide some relative background on company history and a summary of their products, services, and infrastructure. You should also read their privacy policy and terms of service. Never take anything for granted. You should know exactly what you’re entering into and what you can expect from your provider should problems arise. Reading these policies may also give you insight and knowledge on limitations between providers and what direction you can take with future needs as well as steps you can take to avoid any major problems until your budget and business requirements change accordingly. Many companies also provide a customer testimonial and FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page as well. Testimonials can provide helpful information on the types of web sites being hosted and how well the company is currently providing service to its existing customers. If companies FAQ page is done well it can provide a wealth of answers to commonly asked questions about sales and technical specifications that may not be listed on the home page. Of course one of the most important ways that you can do to research on the provider would be to actually contact them with questions that may not be apparently answered or any special needs that were not specifically addressed on any of the later sources above. By contacting the provider directly you can gage how responsive and accurate your questions are addressed which is obviously important.
In closing, it’s important to note that there are literally hundreds of specific needs that any one company or individual may require when searching for web hosting services. One could literally write a textbook on all of the industry specific questions and challenges when researching the various different types of hosting solutions. The short process outlined above is simply a fundamental foundation of steps that will hopefully serve as an informative beginners guide in the process.

Digital cameras are very similar to traditional cameras,
although there is one crucial difference - digital cameras don’t
use film! Instead, they record photos and video to a memory chip
or card. Most are able to record short video clips (usually
anywhere from 15 seconds up to 5 minutes and more), because
video is nothing more than a fast transition of photos. At this
point, you might be wondering how you get the photos out of the
digital camera.
Most digital cameras come with a software interface that lets
you decide how high quality the pictures should be and different
settings depending on the light and environment. Through this
interface, you can also delete photos and do basic photo and
video editing. Most digital cameras come with a cable that
connects directly to your computer, usually via USB. The camera
instantly transfers the photos to a program installed on your
computer. Once the photos are stored on your computer, you can
print them, edit them, or e-mail them. If you want to print them
the traditional way, you can take the memory card to a photo
developer and they can print the images from the card as if you
were giving them your film. Photo developers can also put your
photos on a CD that includes a multimedia showcase of your
photoset.
When shopping for a digital camera, the main specification you
should be looking at are Megapixels. Computers store images
electronically as a large combination of dots. When you have a
good image on your screen or printed on paper, you often can’t
see the dots because they’re packed very closely together, but
they’re still there. Just as printed images are measured by dots
per inch on paper, electronic images are measured by pixels
(dots on your computer screen). A megapixel is defined as one
million pixels. Modern cameras come with a resolution of 1-3
megapixels. If you are taking photos that don’t need to be
printed out in high-quality resolution, 2 megapixels should be
sufficient. Also consider the amount of memory the camera has.
Most digital cameras have built-in memory and can accommodate
external cards to store more photos. These cards are smaller
than matchboxes and can store anywhere from 16MB to 1GB of data.

Wouldn’t it be nice if your computer still ran like it did
back when you first got it? Before you go and buy a new
computer try this key maintenance step you can use to put
life back into the computer you’ve already got.
Imagine that you start up your pc just to find yourself
staring at a blue screen with white writing, termed “the
blue screen of death” by those at Microsoft.
So you push the power button to shut it down, and when you
bring
it back up it just crawls. Within a few minutes it goes
back to the
blue screen of death.
This happened to a friend of mine. When she asked me what
she could do, I asked her if she had ever defragmented her
pc.
She got that “deer in the headlight” look, so I knew she
hadn’t. Defragmenting her pc, after 3 years of never doing
so, took about 14 hours to complete.
One of the main reasons that computers slow down is poor
maintenance practices.
Unfortunately, when you buy a new computer you don’t usually
get much instruction on how to maintain it. Poor or no
maintenance allows your hard drive to become more and more
fragmented which will slow it down over time.
To best explain hard drive fragmentation think of your hard
drive as a file cabinet. In this cabinet there are folders
with documents (files) in them.
When you need to work on something you open the folder
containing the necessary file, pull out what you need and
put the folder back. The files go on your desk so you can
work on them.
Over time certain files don’t get put back, or they get put
back in the wrong places.
When this happens on the hard drive it leads to
fragmentation. Think of defragmenting as going through all
of the files on your desk, and in the cabinet, and putting
them all back in order in the correct folders.
Just as staying in this state of disorganization would lead
to a significant loss in your own productivity, the same
thing happens to your computer.
Eventually this even causes crashes because of how scattered
all of the information gets.
Disk fragmentation can even shorten the lifespan of your
computer because your hard drive works so hard that it wears
out faster.
So the one step solution for this part of computer
maintenance, run the defragmenting tool that comes with
windows at least once every couple of weeks.
Do this by clicking Start, click All Programs, click
Accessories, click System Tools, then click Disk
Defragmenter. Choose the disk you want to defragment and
click the defragment button.
Alternatively you can get software that will automatically
keep your disk defragmented, like Diskeeper by Executive
Software.
Take care of your pc maintenance and you will continue to
enjoy the speed you experienced when you first made that
investment!

The need to monitor and document temperature and humidity has
created a huge market for chart recorders, and data loggers. One
segment of this market is the portable data logger. This useful
tool is being deployed in the transportation industry and
building engineering in ever increasing numbers. They are
battery powered, waterproof, and rugged. One manufacture
describes them as, “small, paperless, lightweight,
battery-powered, electronic monitoring devices used for data
acquisition.” They can be programmed to collect temperature
samples every few minutes, and at a later date downloaded into a
computer where the data appears as a chart for archiving or
printing.
The portable data logger is a relative recent innovation made
possible by the computer industry that has driven the
miniaturization of computer chips and other components. The
portable data logger can be made as small as a couple of inches
in width and length so that they can be placed in a basket of
strawberries to monitor the temperature changes while in
transit. Tracking the temperature changes in merchandise being
transported by trucks has until recent years been impossible.
Some fleets were equipped with chart recorders but the results
were not satisfactory.
Advances in battery technology have also contributed to the
improvements in the portable data logger. Data loggers that can
operate in the field for up to five years without a battery
change are now available which makes long term monitoring of
remote locations possible.
Increasing government regulations requiring the documentation of
temperature and humidity for safety and quality assurance
purposes, are driving more and more industries to use chart
recorders and data loggers. Expect to see the portable data
logger employed in increasing numbers as the price comes down
and new uses are found for this very useful tool.

Technically, it’s illegal to remove DRM from WMA protected music. Digital Rights Management (DRM) is part of the music industry’s effort to curb piracy. There are legitimate reasons for removing it, but first understand DRM can not be removed from file sharing network downloads. Most tracks can be legally copied 3 to 5 times, and this has been exceeded long before they appear on a peer-to-peer network. You must have either purchased the music or have unrestricted free music downloads.
There is no easy way to remove DRM, but it can be removed with some effort and know-how. The best advice is to only download music in the format you need, and that you have the right to copy to an mp3 player, CD or other device. It’s also important to determine that the player will recognize and play the DRM protected WMA track.
What if I Really Like the songs and Want to convert them?
Let’s say you’ve already downloaded music and need to convert to another audio codec. The common conversion method is to burn the tracks on a CD, then rip them in the desired codec’s format. Even this requires special ripping software and numerous steps because the DRM is still embedded in the tracks. And because codecs like WMA, mp3, OGG, AAC, etc. are lossy formats, the sound quality will be degraded.
Lossy formats selectively discard sounds the human ear can’t hear to make the file smaller. But each format removes slightly different sounds. For example, converting a track using a WMA to mp3 converter is now missing the sounds that both codecs have deleted.
There are other ways to remove DRM and convert WMA to mp3, but they require numerous steps and more software - and they’re not for the technically challenged. Free WMA to mp3 conversion software and detailed instructions are available on the Internet.

The Artificial Intelligence community sought to understand human intelligence by building computer programs, which exhibited intelligent behavior. Intelligence was perceived to be a problem solving ability. Most human problems appeared to have reasoned, rather than mathematical, solutions. The diagnosis of a disease could hardly be calculated. If a patient had a group of symptoms, then she had a particular disease. But, such reasoning required prior knowledge. The programs needed to have the “knowledge” that the disease exhibited a particular group of symptoms. For the AI community, that vague knowledge residing in the minds of “Experts” was superior to text book knowledge. So they called the programs, which solved such problems, Expert Systems.
Expert Systems managed goal oriented problem solving tasks including diagnosis, planning, scheduling, configuration and design. One method of knowledge representation was through “If, then…” rules. When the “If” part of a rule was satisfied, then the “Then” part of the rule was concluded. These became rule based Expert Systems. But knowledge was sometimes factual and at other times, vague. Factual knowledge had clear cause to effect relationships, where clear conclusions could be drawn from concrete rules. Pain was one symptom of a disease. If the disease always exhibited pain, then pain pointed to the disease. But vague and judgmental knowledge was called heuristic knowledge. It was more of an art. The pain symptom could not mechanically point to diseases, which occasionally exhibited pain. Uncertainty did not yield concrete answers.
The AI community tried to solve this problem by suggesting a statistical, or heuristic analysis of uncertainty. The possibilities were represented by real numbers or by sets of real-valued vectors. The vectors were evaluated by means of different “fuzzy” concepts. The components of the measurements were listed, giving the basis of the numerical values. Variations were combined, using methods for computing combination of variances. The combined uncertainty and its components were expressed in the form of “standard deviations.” Uncertainty was given a mathematical expression, which was hardly useful in the diagnosis of a disease.
The human mind did not compute mathematical relationships to assess uncertainty. The mind knew that a particular symptom pointed to a possibility, because it used intuition, a process of elimination, to instantly identify patterns. Vague information was powerfully useful to an elimination process, since they eliminated many other possibilities. If the patient lacked pain, all diseases, which always exhibited pain, could be eliminated. Diseases, which sometimes exhibited pain were retained. Further symptoms helped identification from a greatly reduced database. A selection was easier from a smaller group. Uncertainty could be powerfully useful for an elimination process.
Intuition was an algorithm, which evaluated the whole database, eliminating every context that did not fit. This algorithm has powered Expert Systems which acted speedily to recognize a disease, identify a case law or diagnose the problems of a complex machine. It was instant, holistic, and logical. If several parallel answers could be presented, as in the multiple parameters of a power plant, recognition was instant. For the mind, where millions of parameters were simultaneously presented, real time pattern recognition was practical. And elimination was the key, which could conclusively handle uncertainty, without resort to abstruse calculations.
Abraham Thomas is the author of The Intuitive Algorithm, a book, which suggests that intuition is a pattern recognition algorithm. The ebook version is available at www.intuition.co.in. The book may be purchased only in India. The website, provides a free movie and a walk through to explain the ideas.

The most difficult challenge most web designers face is getting traffic to your site. There are plenty of companies who promise to send traffic your way. Sadly, most of this traffic is not qualified. Yes, your hit counter will move higher, however, if its not qualified, you may find you have unhappy visitors to your site. Unhappy visitors will not click on your ads or purchase your products.
Once you have optimized your site, consider submitting it to every search engine. If you want to get spidered quicker in Google, have a web page with a PR of 4 or higher point to your site. Your site will be spidered within a couple of days!
One myth I would like to bust is that PR is a measure of a web site. Its not. I receive countless emails offering a reciprocal link with their PR5 or PR6 site. Unless my link is appearing on the main page, or a page that has PR6, I am not getting a share of PR6. Most likely, my link will appear on a page that has a PR2!
Page rank is Google’s ranking of that specific page’s relevance. Just because the main page has a PR of 4, does not make every page on the site a PR4. Beware of sites who claim that they will exchange links with you and its to your benefit since they have a PR5 or PR6. Where is your link appearing? If its on a page that has a PR of 4 or 5 or 6, great!
Reciprocal linking, if done properly, will ensure that your keywords are at the top of the search engine. If you have a popular keyword, youll need to have more back links. Pick your link partners properly, and ensure that they are linking to your keyword.
For example: if your site is www.joesdinner.com, consider sending out requests to relevant higher ranking pages to start with, followed by lower ranking pages and ask web designers to link back in the following manner:
< a href=http://www.joesdinner.com >best dining in new york < /a > - joes dinner is the only place to eat when you’re staying in New York.
Presuming their keyword is “best dining in new york”, having links pointing to your site with an anchor tag incorporating your keywords will improve your search engine rankings dramatically.
Once you have established a collection of sites pointing to your site using your keywords, you will start receiving reciprocal link exchanges from other sites. This is where you can start to be particular.
If you want to maintain an effective PR and attract better sites for linking, follow these tips:
a) Is it indexed?
While their site may be indexed, the page where they are placing your link, is it at least indexed by google? If you type in allinurl:www.sitename.com/links/right_here.html and there are no results, consider declining their offer. If the page your link appears on has not been indexed, there is no benefit whatsoever to you. If your pages have PR, they may consider placing your link on another page. If the page your link appears on is indexed, but does not have PR, consider accepting their offer. While the page today may not have PR, it will in time.
b) How many neighbours?
The value of the page rank is shared with each of the links on that page. If you are splitting that PR with several other sites, your share of PR will be small, which doesnt help you. Reconsider accepting any link exchanges if your site is 1 of more than 30 - 40 sites that will appear on that page, unless its a very high PR. Further, if there are too many links on that page, Google may consider the page to be part of a link farm, which may end up penalizing your site.
c) Is it relevant?
Google is big on relavancy. Ensure your links pages are relevant. If you operate a site about golf, having links from cooking sites will not help you establish your page rank. It may cost you more than you get in return.
How to Find Good PR sites:
a) Do a search for them by typing in your keyword and start asking for reciprocal link exchanges. Take a look at their PR and go from there. Remember, its the number of sites that backlink to you that matters, not strictly the PR of the page. I would rather have 50 pages that have a PR1 pointing to my site, than to have 5 sites that have a PR5. Of course, if you can get 50 pages that have a PR5 pointing to your site, you are laughing!
b) Take a look at your existing link partners and check out their links pages. Its clear the people appearing on those links pages are interested in reciprocating.
c) Purchase software that will help find quality link partners.
It is important to attract higher PR sites when you are on a reciprocal link campaign. However, its not the most important thing when it comes to search engine rankings. Its the backlinks that point back at you that are key. The more of those, the better off you will be for your keyword.
Remember: every page starts off as a PR0. Just because its new doesnt mean it wont get a higher PR once google gets around to assessing a score. If the page your site appears on is indexed, and its a relevant site of quality, consider exchanging links. You’ll grow a large list of link partners in a short period of time, and increase your search engine rankings in the process.

Being online for the last five or so years has made me realize that many persons are seeking a magic button to success. What is even more interesting is that they really believe that it exist.
I have never encountered anything of such nature, the achievements of so many are owed to hard work, persistence and dedication.
If there is a magic button online then Send may be the one that you are looking for. Puzzled? Newsletters and ezines are known to connect with readers on a more personal level than websites and their subscribers received fresh content daily, weekly or monthly.
A newsletter demands a lot of work and commitment to become successful. It can be used to subtle sell your affiliate products and also to drive traffic to your website(s).
Even though your subscriber base might be in the thousands, it is essential that you write to connect with each on a personal level. This way relationships are built and in the long run these friendships can result in sales.
It is when you have covered the basic steps that you are on your way to creating your magic button. By clicking on Send, you almost immediately place yourself in a most valued target -your subscribers' mailbox. The thing is even if you are short on money, you can still venture into newsletter publishing.
Many companies like Topica offer such services for free. One disadvantage is that some of them may place advertisements in each issue e.g. Getresponse, which may dilute your credibility.
You can take it to a more professional level if you can afford it by getting your own domain name, newsletter template and email management software.
Forget about finding a magic button to success online and go create your own. Send. It feels good to know that at a click of a button you can connect with a global audience almost instantly.
Obviously there is more ground to cover here but if you are interested then you will take your interest beyond this article.
Happy Researching.
